Because of Tara's participation in the Blindfold Club and also her trysts with another Dom couple (Tara is a sub), she hasn't really tried to date anyone because that would be hard for another partner to accept. What's surprising about Grant is how conventional, but nonjudgmental, he seemed as Ruby's best friend, but in his own perspective, Grant is extremely open minded and he is very competitive. Which means he loves a good challenge and doesn't easily shy away from obstacles so getting to know Tara, even with limitations set in place, isn't a hardship for him. I loved the scenes between Tara and Grant when she dances and he plays the cello. That really highlights the connection they have, and not just on an artistic level.
Of course there's steamy and scorching hot scenes. There's also a tenderness and emotional vulnerability between Grant and Tara even before all the cards have been laid on the table. And somehow, Nikki Sloane managed to save the best for last because there's a scene towards the end which really had me hovering over every single word because it's really climatic in multiple ways (no pun intended). The irony is that Joseph plays a crucial role in this book, and while he's not a main character, he finally won me over to where I actually like him now. Grant and Tara are a fantastic couple and addition to this series and I hope there will be more of these characters in the future.
When I want steamy, I read a Blindfold Club book by Nikki Sloane because they never disappoint and this one certainly met the challenge! For some reason I don't remember Tara super well but I loved her character in this book. A gentle heart who's trying to chase her dreams and be accepted for who she is, Tara is a great heroine. Grant is a rugby playing, quasi journalist,"hot cello" playing guy who happens to save Tara from injuring herself in a dance move gone astray. Grant and Tara have immediate chemistry and attraction, but this isn't the first time they've met, unbeknownst to them. Secrets are just part of working at the Blindfold Club but Tara really wants to put it all on the line for Grant, but Grant's holding back something too.
I loved the dance and musical elements in this story; I felt it really elevated it to the next level adding depth to the story and characters. Tara and Grant have to get creative physically due to some "rules" and it was so hot, almost hotter than the act itself! I loved how they bent the rules. And then there is the last scene....holy moly is all I can say, I was on the edge of my seat reading it.
My only complaint keeping me from giving 5 full stars was with editing. There were a few tense mistakes with verbs in the first third of the book that tripped me up causing me to reread a sentence cause it didn't quite make sense. It wasn't a huge deal, I just don't remember ever catching that from the previous books and it did detract from my reading experience slightly. Overall I enjoyed it and look forward to more books in this series!

I love how all the books in the series are intertwined, nice to see cameos from other characters.
Was a bit annoyed with the end of chapter 18. Would’ve liked that last scene to be played out more after Grant asks Tara to get on the bed.
This book wasn’t as smutty as Nikki’s other books. I would’ve liked more dialogue during the smut scenes in this book.
Grant is such a contradiction - he is a big, hot, rugby player who is super competitive across all areas of his life. But he is also Hot Cello guy, and can be very endearing at times. It was so sweet how serious he took learning some music for Tara. Tara knows that she is falling fast for Grant, but is worried how he will react once she tells him everything. Will he be accepting of her and still want her once he has all the information??
Tara and Grant were a great couple - after their first *face to face* meeting, I couldn't wait to get further into the storyline and see how it all played out. The anticipation of when they would each discover certain information about the other kept me glued to the screen. I knew it was going to be explosive, and the ending of this book was (you guessed it!) really HOT.
