No one told Quinn there was a cover charge to enter Hell—or that Valhalla didn't allow bar tabs.

Thanks to a witchy homebrew, Quinn MacKenna—part-time goddess, full-time troublemaker—has slipped past death’s door to rekindle an old flame and snuff out an old friend.

But in order to do that, Quinn will need allies, be they an alcoholic ferryman, a deadly Horseman, or some of the most feared and respected gods this side of the afterlife.

In a do or die effort to track down her old nemesis, Quinn must first expose dark truths, strike a bargain with Hades himself, and journey to a realm fraught with bloodshed and brimming with booze. The sort of place only a warrior could love—or a scrappy redhead from Boston.

Quinn quickly becomes immersed in all manner of schemes and intrigues that threaten to distract her from her goals—like starting a bar fight in Valhalla, or flying with the Valkyries, or surviving the mists of Niflheim with the power of a stolen kiss. Quinn’s devil may care attitude will lead her down a brimstone path paved with good intentions, reminding her that, sometimes, you have to be willing to lose everything if you want to find anything.

Especially if that thing happens to be a mythical city littered with ancient treasures.

In the end, Quinn will have no choice but to wallow in the past or embrace her future as her toughest crucible threatens to become her greatest failure. Will she emerge victorious, or will she remain doomed to wander the beyond for all eternity?

Come hell or high water, there’s only one way to find out.

If you like Jim Butcher, Kevin Hearne, Steve McHugh, Michael Anderle, Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Shannon Mayer, or K.F. Breene, you won't be able to put down the highly addictive Phantom Queen Diaries or anything else in the Temple Verse.

Herein lies another great story of the Templeverse, told superbly by my favorite author and co-author. Urban fantasy at its best! A novel with relatable characters, scenes written so well that you are transported right into the action, magic, humor, adult themes, mystery, this book has it all!

Quinn travels the realms making deals, dealing violence and looking for answers. Great world-building with the various locations along the journey. There are some familiar faces from the Templeverse. I am very much looking forward to Moonshine, the next book in Phantom Queen and the only one from the Templeverse I haven't read yet. If you haven't tried Nate Temple and the Feathers and Fire novels, truly you're missing out on some very fun books.

Plus interesting new developments and revelations. Quinn continues to grow and evolve. Charon plays a bigger role. Astral travel with a certain wizard. And a romp through Hell, or multiple levels of Hell. If it wasn't for chasing the evil Dr Frankenstein and Ryan and dealing with the twisted cruel destruction they generate, I'd probably give it a higher rating. I've grown tired that story arc that's been the focus of several books now. And really dislike the characters and their wake of horrors. Enough already! Ugh. At one point I stopped reading for 2 weeks because I didn't want to read more horrific bits. I did finally finish the book. And was reasonably satisfied at the end., although it presented more questions , mysteries and intriguing possibilities.

Loving this whole TempleVerse and liked how Nate had more of an appearance this time, as he doesn’t always when it’s not a Nate book. Was very into this book and look forward to where it all goes in the TempleVerse. I highly recommend this series

The Templeverse is easily my favorite group of series out there anywhere. I highly recommend all three of them. Look up the chronological reading order, and enjoy an absolute multitude of AWESOME books. I look forward to every installment, and usually inhale them in a day. Though I have to admit that Nate Temple's part of this universe is my favorite, O'Connell is ABSOLUTELY a writer with all the chops necessary to create a thoroughly worthy, and remarkably fun and suspenseful series to add to the wonderfully rich and full Templeverse. I give my highest recommendation for every Templeverse book, and that certainly includes O'Connell's contributions in the Phantom Queen series. Read them all. Seriously. Start today. You will be ecstatic that you did.

PS- Special thanks to the authors for allowing the Templeverse to exist on Kindle Unlimited. I am disabled and have no income, so I would never be able to enjoy these absolutely wonderful books otherwise. Thank you Shayne and Cameron. A thousand times, thank you.

Quinn definitely keeps her promises in this one, going so far as die to complete them. She has to make the toughest decision of her life though while in Hell. She has many good things happen while there as well & her good deeds result in promises fulfilled for those in her care.

It is totally and completely impossible to have gotten everything in this book, and all the others before! The best advice I can give you… you must read all three series! And most definitely you’ll need to read them more than once! There’s just way too much to get the first time!

I've recommended all of Shayne Silver's books to family and friends! They are funny and have great story lines. I like to read books first before giving to my daughter. Wish you and Cameron could get new ones out faster! Keep up the great work guys and have fun doing it!

We left Quinn at the end of Hurricane having taken a potion so she could save Max and stop Ryan and Frankenstien in the afterlife. What we get is the best tour you can imagine. There is no tour guide. There is no one to ensure Quinn gets where she needs to without issue. No, Quinn has to prove herself time and again. And she succeeds.
And now we are one step closer to the story we have all been waiting for. The culmination of Shayne Silvers and Cameron O'Connell's efforts. I can barely wait! (Oh, and do you know how hard it is not to put spoilers in a review when you have so much you want to say?)

I loved this latest adventure!
My favourite this far of all of Quinns books.
I laughed, I got angry and I cried my heart out and in the end I was left with a feeling of love, friendship and hope.
Such a great book!
