I have now read all of the books. Read them in order to get the best out of them. Not wanting to spoil the books for anyone. I will just say I just can't stop reading . All the books have an exiting ending. I would really recommend this series

Not very believable. Most important persons of the book did not engage me at all. Writing is not bad. I am not going to read any of his other books.

Very good ... couldn't put the book down until I was at the very end. I would recommend to anyone who likes exciting mysteries.

3.5 stars. A relatively interesting plot. I liked this better than the previous two books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best One So Far

This was my favourite of this series so far (book 4) about Laura a policewoman and her live-in boyfriend Jack, who's a journalist.
The last book was a little disappointing as they weren't getting on very well but in this one appear to be past that which made me happy.
A guy who supposedly murdered his wife by burying her alive over 20 years previously makes contact with Jack. He wants him to prove his innocence and write his story. It's a great story and full of lots of twists and kept me interested all the way through.
What struck me about this story was a lot of similarity with the Lord Lucan mystery of the 1970's. The author even gave one character his surname-Bingham.
Without posting a spoiler the Susie character mentioned a daughter and I guessed (wrongly) she was a daughter featured later in the book. That could have tidied things up a bit there, I thought..........but then I'm no author and Neil White is.
I have Book 5 ready on my wishlist !!

4.0 out of 5 stars Thriller with a twist
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 27, 2011
This is the first I have read of this series but it was a good stand alone thriller. A local freelance reporter & his partner a police officer become involved in a murder mystery. There are several false leads in the book, & many false trails are followed. Some of the characters are rather creepy in more ways than one. The story progressed well, and the ending surprising with maybe some justice for some. A very enjoyable book by someone who knows his subject. I will read more from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thrilling page turner

I consider myself to be an avid reader and can see where plots are going to lead but this author catches me out every time! His books keep you guessing and you can never assume any character is going to have a happy ending. Totally plausible plots and draws you in completely so that you just cannot put the book down. This book was one of the best I've read in a long while and I couldn't guess what the plots twists were going to be. A great read.

I enjoy Neil White's books as they are very enjoyable and I find that that I must just read that exter page or paragraph instead of getting on with what ever I am suppose to be doing.
