    Pamela Ribon is a screenwriter (Moana, Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, Bears), TV writer, comic book writer, author, and best-selling novelist. She was named one of Variety’s 10 Screenwriters to Watch and is a 2017 Film Independent Directing Lab Fellow. She has been a member of the Disney Animation StoryTrust since 2013.

    Her first graphic novel, My Boyfriend is a Bear, (co-created with Cat Farris) is out now from Oni Press.

    Her original comic book series SLAM! — co-created with Veronica Fish and set in the world of roller derby — receives rave reviews. She has also penned issues of Rick and Morty. Her comedic memoir Notes to Boys (and Other Things I Shouldn’t Share in Public) was praised by NPR as “brain-breakingly funny.”

    She’s been in comedy rooms for both network and cable television, most notably the Emmy award-winning Samantha Who?. Pamela has adapted her popular novels for both film and television (Why Girls are Weird, You Take It From Here), and developed original series and features for ABC, Freeform, Sony, Warner Bros., Disney Channel and 20th Century Fox Productions.

    Pamela was an Oprah.com contributor, a flagship contributor to Television Without Pity, and a weekly columnist for the Austin American-Statesman. She’s known as a pioneer in the blogging world with her successful website pamie.com, where she launched such viral essays as “How I Might Have Just Become the Newest Urban Legend” and “Barbie F*cks it Up Again,” the latter of which led to #FeministHackerBarbie, a revamp of Mattel’s products and marketing for Barbie, and the creation of Game Developer Barbie as “Career of the Year.” Pamela’s stage work has been showcased at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival and she created the accidental international scandal known as Call Us Crazy: The Anne Heche Monologues.

First, I bought all 3 of these so far released. I noted a few reviewers sobbing about the art in these, that it "wasn't good" and "badly done". I suspect these reviewers really aren't comic book afficianados and don't understand that the entire point of doing a comic book based off an animated series is to be able to take a few liberties! The artwork in these books is fantastic, on point, and exactly why these are so good. The stories are solid, yet there's no doubt you're reading a R&M comic book. Of course it's not the show art. Then youd be looking at various animation cells, not a comic book. These folks do a great job and never let you forget you're reading a comic, not watching still shots from the show.

If you are a Rick and Morty fan, these are a must have. The books themselves are of outstanding quality. The voice chips work in all my books. Considering the SRP of these books is ~$50, the price here on Amazon is a steal!

Season 4 of the show is on the way, I hope these books continue as well, I really like em!

Chances are... those of you that think the sound chip doesn’t work are not opening it in a well lit area. The sound chip is light activated. So if you open it in the dark or even dimly lit area it will not work. If it still doesn’t work then you have a broken one. But there are too many poor reviews that are really based on user error. Hope your chips start working.

Great comic as usual, although the art isn't quite as good as the first collection. Clearly a Morty was allowed to design the soundchip, however, as it arrived non-functional. You know, like Beth and Jerry's marriage.

Edit: OK, so I discovered by accident that the sound chip only likes a certain type of light. Sunlight or very warm indoor bulbs. Then it works fine. In very white light, it doesn't work at all.

sadly, the first pages were glued together on the upper side so I had to rip them apart in order to open them. I’m totally careful when it comes to books so this was quite a pain.
anyways, doesn’t make the book worse. still like it. now excuse me while I gotta go get the next parts

This deluxe edition is such a good read alongside with the cartoon series. You can see further adventures of Rick & Morty and I absolutely love it. When I picked this book up, I was afraid that it would be somewhat different from the t.v. series. However, after finishing it, I can say that it really captivates that similar chaotic yet ingenuous environment. I highly recommend Rick & Morty fans to pick this book up! The voice recording is a little eerie though.

Ordered "Rick & Morty, book 2" from the App and all went smoothly, until actual delivery...this is when I realized that Amazon packaging department probably is under a lot of stress around Christmas. The envelope was close to shredded on one side, due to a poor choice of container and the usual, very rough handling from a disrespectful postal "service"!
No surprise; the coveted album had been battered on one corner, turning this prized possession into an un-collectible, a mere consumable...

Obviously in distress, I turned to customer service and this is where my prior disbelief in daily miracles was put to shame.
The barely audible lady from customer service (what is it with customer phone lines that makes it necessary to physically merge with your communication device, in order to get a clear signal?) took my complaint and, in a matter of minutes, turned my devastating grief into a warm feeling of relief.
After some chillingly personal, but extremely polite, questions to confirm my identity, she swiftly made arrangements for a new delivery...this took less than a minute!!

Now, as I sit back and enjoy a relaxing moment before the rest of the Christmas shopping has to be taken care of, I can honestly confess:
Amazon showed me that they have the kind of customer service that turns an old skeptic like me, not only into a loyal customer, but into a devotee ;)
