Product Description

ROBERTS Serenity foam underlayment is designed for use under floating laminate and engineered wood flooring. This product is designed to use for wood subfloors but can also be used with concrete slabs with recommended Moisture Barricade (Item# 70-115, sold separately). Serenity is designed with a 3/32 inch polyethylene foam for added cushioning and compensates for minor subfloor imperfections.

This underlayment worked well for what we needed to do. Our subfloors are leveled and no moisture came out for our moisture test. If it wasn't leveled and had moisture issues, this may not work well. It is easy to install, just place it and tape. But try not to step on it or hit it with the laminate floor planks, it will rip easily. Put tape on it or replace it should fix the problem.

Not the thickest material in the world, but it gets the job done. Just enough for a 10 x 10 room. I wish they would sell these at 110 or 120 ft.², because for a 10 x 10 room you often have a closet or you just need a little extra material to work with. You might end up having to order two rolls. 100 ft.² makes sense as a sales unit, but if you do a lot of DIY, you know you always need a tiny bit extra and it would be more practical if they sold it like that. I needed to put in a floor for a small room on a budget and this stuff did the job.
