Enjoyed this book very much. Cathy has a way of putting you there with the characters. I'm happy that Eric and Polly came together as one. It seemed like it was going to be kind of not so there for awhile. Polly has a very protective family especially her Uncle BYRCE . But it all turned out in the end where they good work together. It was nice that Polly and Eric were able to take over what Lovejoy started with her herbs and such. I was sorry to hear about what happened to little Ginny Mae and Jaime from previous books. I was looking forward to their grownup years. It's fun that all the Chance men ended up having big families along with the Mcpherson's too. It sure populated Reliable more and more. I'm looking forward to hearing about Laurel ,Kate and April and their romances. This has been a fun series keep up the good work Cathy and Kelley. Now on to Bridal Veil with Laurel and family.

I don't think I've read a book from Cathy Hake that I didn't enjoy. Great author and this book was nothing short of enjoyable. The entire series is a great read. Not super long stories - which I prefer - and they are not too slow or fast in their story development. I never felt bored while reading it.

I enjoyed being reunited with the Chance family of Reliable, California. This story begins the storyline for the next generation of a Chances. However, I had a little bit of a hard time getting a feel for the younger characters. I'm not sure exactly why. Cathy Marie Hake did a good job of explaining the difficulty of adjusting to newer discoveries and advances in medicine for the times.

Handful of Flowers is an extension of the Chance series about Polly all grown up to be a healer like her stepmother Lovejoy. It is a heartwarming story, not to be missed! I highly recommend this series!

Learnt a lot about how flowers were used in medicine. It must of been hard to move on but this book showed how it happened. Nice read.
