About the author
BIOGRAPHY – Linda Windsor
With an estimated million books in print, Linda Windsor is an award-winning author of 16 secular historical and contemporary romances and thirteen romantic comedies and historical fiction for the inspirational market. Her switch to the inspirational fiction in 1999 was more like Jonah going to Ninevah than a flash of enlightenment. Linda claims God pushed her, kicking and screaming all the way. In retrospect, the author can see how God prepared her for His writing in her early publishing years and then claimed, not just her music, but her writing when she was ready. At that point, He brushed away all her reservations regarding inspirational fiction and she took the leap of faith. Windsor has never looked back.
When Linda isn’t writing in her restored late 18th century farmhouse, she’s busy speaking and/or playing music for writing workshops, faith seminars, libraries, and civic and church groups. She and her late husband were professional musicians and singers in their country and old Rock and Roll band Homespun. She also performs and plays organ for her little country church in the wildwood. Presently, she’s trying to work in some painting, wallpapering and other house projects that are begging to be done. That is, when she’s not playing mom-mom to her grandchildren—her favorite role in life.

Book 3 - “Deirdre” begins in Ireland, written in the seventh-Century time period. Deirdre is a Princess, who sets sail to Albion with a King’s ransom, to redeem her abducted brother.
Alric of Galstead, is the illegitimate son of a Saxon King and an enslaved Scottish Princess. His Christian mother on her deathbed, reveals a vision of Alric’s “kingdom”, a prophesy so to speak. He does not believe in God nor her vision.
But after Alric captures the Irish Princess Deirdre and her treasure, things change. Is Deirdre part of his destiny, and the prophesied key to his birthright ?
Once again, this novel will have you totally captivated from start to finish. Linda writes in true Irish roots ... weaving Irish historical-fiction through – love, mystery, intrigue, danger, riveting excitement, hope, forgiveness, love and faith. You will feel as though you are on the same journey her characters are on.
I did not want the final sequel of this series to come to an end !
As well, I have re-read it several times ... enjoying it so much.
I recommend this book, 100 % !
Our hero and heroine encounter many hardships and assaults, the likes of which surely try ones faith. The question is will you trust Him in all circumstances? Is God truly your Refuge, Hope and Shield? These are things that will be played out in the story, along with several other insights into faith and love.
I will admit this story needs better editing ... I am not sure if the transition into an Ebook caused the problem or not. But there were several places where the period was left off at the end of a sentence. A little confusing at times but it did help that the next sentence still had the first word in caps. Really not a big deal and easy to overlook, especially as the story was so wonderfully told. Bravo on a wonderful series and great conclusion!
Overall I give it 4 & 1/2 Stars,
