Condemned to repeat the sins of the past…

Faye thought losing her parents was the most devastating thing to happen to her, but she was wrong. Her uncle’s scandalous revelation has sent her into a tailspin, leaving her questioning her entire existence.

Everything she believed is built on a lie.

And the one person she shares a passionate, soul-deep connection with can’t be there for her.

Faye and Ky can’t be together. It’s forbidden. Though they are determined to avoid replicating their parents’ mistakes, caving to their feelings is as tempting as the apple in the Garden of Eden.

Ky had sworn off girls until Faye bulldozed her way into his life. Now, she’s his whole world, and their forced separation is crushing him. Once his manipulative ex resurfaces—hell-bent on ruining the Kennedys—he’ll do whatever it takes to protect his loved ones including turning his back on the one person he can’t live without.

Then tragedy strikes and all bets are off.

But is it too late?

When Faye needs him and he isn’t there for her, guilt and hurt threaten to obliterate their love. As they start to rebuild their fractured hearts, another sordid family secret is uncovered, and Faye worries Ky may be lost to her forever.

But can you truly lose someone if they don’t want to be found?

I expect that you already read Finding Kyler by now, if not, I suggest you read it first before diving into this one. This is the second book in The Kennedy Boys series. Finding Kyler left us a huge cliffhanger ending and Losing Kyler picked up exactly where Finding Kyler left off.

I don’t have any negative opinion about this book because I enjoyed it so much and it felt like I didn’t even waited for this sequel at all. As I’ve said, Losing Kyler immediately picked up where the first book ended and the emotional connection was instant. I remembered how I loved the first book! I couldn’t even choose which one I liked better because they were equally satisfying, both are equally addicting.

When Faye moved in with the Kennedys, she was quickly thrown into the family drama. The word “dysfunctional” is an understatement when it comes to this family. The Kennedy seems to be living in full, fat lies and after the revelations in this book, there's no doubt that things will be more interesting in the next installment.

Faye is a strong girl and I liked her for being badass. She didn't only fight her demons but she also do everything to protect the people she love. If only loving someone is easy. If only loving Kyler isn't forbidden.

What I enjoyed mostly about this book is its ability to turn the story into something you didn't expect. There were lots of twists and bombs along the way. There were plenty of complications, unforgivingly thrown, one after another. It was like the family is cursed and happily ever after isn't a possibility. Just when you think you'd figured out something, you'll be given another secret to unfold, another twist in the already twisted lives of the characters. The angst we loved in the first book is still there. The thrill of waiting and finding out whether your favorite characters will have a happy story or not was both exciting and  agitating. There was no boring part for me and I think that was another reason why other readers loved this book too. It was sexy, angsty, twisted and sometimes overwhelming. There were a lot of things that happened in this one sequel alone and I bet there's more coming in the next one.

Then there was Brad. Maybe seven good looking Kennedy brothers wasn't enough so Siobhan added Brad into the limelight. I have to admit that giving Brad a lot of exposure made this book even more exciting to read. It was nice to have a decent guy thrown into the picture and knowing Brad will make you love his character. He's a gentleman. The one that is easily taken for granted. You'll love him.

Just like Finding Kyler, the ending of this book was another huge cliffhanger! I survived but Keeping Kyler couldn't get here fast enough and I badly need the happily ever after!

If you loved The Royals and Fallen Crest and looking for another dose of family drama with hot dudes and badass female heroine, try this series and keep up with The Kennedys!

Wow this was such a good and addictive read! I have to admit I was a bit afraid what the title Losing Kyler would mean for this book and I was wondering if I would enjoy it as much as book one. well my worries were totally ungrounded as this book was just as good, maybe even better, than book 1. It continues the story right where book 1 ended in a cliffhanger. And from that moment I got sucked into the story and didn’t want to put it down. The ending of this book is again a bit of a cliffhanger, but it mostly just makes me curious about the next book.

There’s so much going on in this book. Just like the first book it’s filled with drama, secrets, revelations and plot twists. It really is an addictive read and I just wanted to know what would happen next and how things would play out or if my suspicions regarding certain things would be true or what characters were hiding. Really Siobhan totally rocks this genre and I am excited to hear she’s planning to write some of the other Kennedy boys their stories as well. As I want to read all of their stories. Each character has their own secrets and personality and I am curious to about them all.

While this is Faye and Ky their story, there’s also a lot going on with other side characters. We see more of Brad in this book and there’s also an important plot line surrounding Kal, which I think is part of the set-up for this own story. I liked seeing how Faye and Keaton grew closer too. And there are some developments regarding James and Alex as well that shake things up. We see the two older brothers a bit more in this book as well. I really like all the different characters in this family, they are al interesting and I want to know more about them. Yes they make mistakes and mess things up at times, but I still feel that at heart they mean well and are good people.

I am really curious for Kal his story as he goes through a lot in this book, but I still believe he and Lana can figure things out eventually. Brad is one of my favorite side characters in this book, he’s such a sweet guy and I felt so bad for him for what eh goes through in this book. I was a bit angry with Faye for something she tries to do in this book, but Brad handled the situation well. It also was interesting to learn a bit more about Faye’s mother and also about James and Alex. Everyone in this family is so messed up and has made their fair share of mistakes, but it does make for a very entertaining story.

At times it almost feels like a bit to much, as there is a lot of drama. And at times characters don’t make the smartest decisions and I am partly afraid about how things will play out and how things will ever get okay again. But really the story just has me hooked and even the parts that feel too much or I am afraid where things are going, I still have to keep reading. It’s really well written. And the type of drama in this book does work for me as the drama does have a reason and feels realistic, even if at times it gets a bit much. It’s the right type of drama, that shakes things up, but also makes me curious and want to keep reading. There’s also some well done foreshadowing again in this book and we also see the result of some of that foreshadowing play out.

The cliffhanger ending of book 1 shakes things up for Faye and Ky and if you’ve read the blurb you can probably expect that isn’t the last of it. They really go through a lot in this book. Actually everyone does. At times I really wonder how they are going to get through this as it’s a lot to take in and every time you think things are on stable ground again, something new shakes it up. But that’s what makes it for such an addictive read as you never know what’s coming next and if things are calm and good I am always wondering what will happen next as it feels like it can’t last. I liked seeing how things develop between Faye and Kyler in this book. They really are good for each other, but there’s so much standing in their path and I could imagine the hurt Faye felt about some of the things that happened.

To summarize: Losing Kyler is an addictive read filled with drama, secrets and revelations. I had a hard time putting it down as I wanted to keep reading and wanted to know what would happen next. There’s a lot going on in this book for all characters. Things get shaken up, secrets come to light, things get even more complicated and every time you think you know what’s going on, there’s something new to shake it up. It was an amazing read and by the time I finished this book I wished I could jump straight into book 3, but that isn’t out yet sadly. There’s a lot of drama in this book, but it’s the well done type of drama in my opinion. It makes me want to keep reading and see how everything turns out. The romance between Faye and Ky is well done, even with all the complications. I really wondered how they were going to get through this as there’s a lot going on. We also get a feel for the other Kennedy boys and there are some plot lines that focus on them as well. I hope they all get their own story! I would recommend this series if you’re looking for a good drama filled contemporary romance with secrets, lies and revelations.

After book 1 ended with that cliffy, I was like:

OMG! WHAAAAT?

So of course I didn't do shit but read book 2. Obviously.

Wow! Siobhan deliveres it and then some. I didn't see that coming and sooo many other plot twists!

Some reactions while reading book 2:

1) Addison. Ugh, is it bad that I want Addison to die in a very slow, painful manner?

Like go on and rot in hell, bitch!

2) Lana. **rolling eyes**
For reals, how could you do that? And invent such lie?? I hope you get what's coming for you.

3) James. WTF is wrong with you?? Seriously man, you had to go there with Courtney?

4) Alex. Girl, I know it's hard but for Christ's sake, woman! Your family needs you now. Quit the wine and get you shit together!!!

5) Kyler and Faye. I know it was hard. I was like "just kiss damn it" throughout the whole book and I still didn't lose my faith in y'all and when I reached the end, I was like nooooo, not again!

So yeah, I'm really into this series and I hope book 3 is out soon. 4 stars and again, a great job from Siobhan Davis.

Ahhh this series holds up so well on a reread. Faye and Ky’s story is heartbreaking, with devastating truths from previous generations stripping everyone bare. We learn so much in this book but there’s still so many questions to be answered, not to mention so many queries about the rest of the family. Onto the next book!
