This brand new full length novel is a major league hit right out of the park! ... “Reconstructed” is the first amazing book in the new and innovative series, “Building A Hero” with a totally different flavor :D ...This is so fantastic, I can already see the bright lights of the marquees announcing the new block buster hit on the big screen, and as a sold out box office hit! :D ... The beginning starts with a steady pace, but then you'll notice a building momentum that soon increases into a fast paced page turner that I absolutely devoured! .. It was so mesmerizing, that if I hadn’t been busy in my personal life, I would have read the whole thing non-stop in less than a day! ...Unfortunately, real life did get in the way, but I grabbed every free moment when I could, then nearing the end, I didn’t want it to be over :o LOL ... Not sure how I’ll manage having to wait until fall for the next novel, “Augmented” the 2nd book in "Building A Hero" :o

What a multifaceted book that has something for every fiction genre and sub-genre lovers! Readers will be thoroughly entertained by the special way that Ms. Black blends fantasy, romantic suspense, with hints of paranormal aspects, science fiction and of course who doesn’t love a superhero thrown in for good measure :D Tasha Black does a tremendous job of engaging the reader with her attention to details, and giving us a captivating, unique storyline that connects with her well defined characters, pulling the reader right into the story.

I was very fortunate to have read the ARC before it was released in exchange for an honest review. You will also see here that I’m a verified buyer, as I am a huge fan of Tasha’s :D So I was happy to also purchase one for my own collection and to show my support for this talented Indie author :D I honestly do, highly recommend this must read to all fiction lovers! I promise you won't be sorry!!

As a side note, I’m afraid that Ms. Black has set the bar even higher now - not just for other authors, but for herself as well ;) LOL ... But, I have faith that she will continue her masterful writing and exceed our expectations again :D

A Sci-fi Paranormal Suspense Romance. I am putting it in the New Adult category.
My reason for the New Adult category is the intimacy factor. It isn't explicit enough to call Adult or Erotic, but it is there. Mostly these type scenes are not graphicly written out. They are used properly to enhance the story and the personalities of the main characters.
It was completely different than what I expected. Filled with action and suspense, it has an "Iron Man" feel to it. Added to the complexity and world build is the implied paranormal factor due to government DNA experimentation.
The writing style is very well done. There are a few minor editing errors. They didn't get in the way of my enjoyment of the story, but I did scratch my head a couple of times. All the different elements and layers kept me enthralled. There are surprises, twist and turns throughout. In fact, I have added Tasha Black to my Goodreads shelves because of this book and I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

What a journey again.
we meet Cord, PA to Westly, a notorious bad boy womanizer with more cash to spend.
Cord is one of the rare few who can put up with his demanding behavior on the work floor. After West yet again, has a falling out with his friend Peter, he starts to wonder about Cord. He tries to push her buttons more and more.
It's when he calls her in when he's overlooking problems with one of his companies, that he realizes that's she's a lot smarter then just the PA that sorts his schedule and fetches his coffee. her keen mind has him interested in her more but ruthless as he is he doesn't want to go that route. business is business, he can't risk loosing her.
Once they start paying more in detail interest in the company losing money, it sets so much in motion. Though Cord shouldn't be surprised West makes some major changes to the company. he's still adamant about selling it. after meeting with the military and having his head of security nearly flipping out, he made up his mind not to sell the company.
overjoyed by his decision, Cords flies into his arms. surprised by her move, he keeps her close. giving into his feelings he kisses her; Both are taken by the sparks they fly back and forth. It's only when Dalton,his head of security, steps in that West was rather sure he would have Cord sprawled over his desk, buried deep inside of her.
things get rather surreal when the companies former CEO breaks in, tries to steal the information and fights of West, ending with him throwing West out of the window. West must have had a serious good guardian angels because he barely survives a 12 stories fall. in the hospital Cord is forced to make a life-changing decision. Giving the go ahead, they use the companies experimental materials to patch up West and give him a shot at life. Without them he wasn't thought to survive surgery.
It's then this story gets really interesting, action packed and emotional. You see how West battles his new limbs, conquers using them and manages to use them to their fullest potential.
When all is set and done, West has only one more person to win over and that's Cord.
Can't wait for the next in this series. It's so hard to put this book down once I started reading.

As I would expect from Tasha Black, this story is beautiful. Cordelia and West make a great couple, eventually when they decide to appreciate each other's differences. After a fall from a 12 stories building, West receives prosthetic legs and an arm via his own facilities lab. He eventually learns to us his new super-tech limbs with encouragement from Cordelia and her sister, who is confined to a wheelchair, but looks forward to similar prosthetics in the future. Through many twists and turns, they manage to overcome the evil former lab manager who threw West out of the window, causing his many injuries. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next story in this series to discover the follow up to this tale. Definitely worthy of 5 stars and recommended.

I had a ball reading this book that I got as a gift from a friend. It was a real page turner. At first, the story seemed to be taking place in today's world, but eventually, the science fiction seemed to come to life, and in this day and age, the science fiction was more science than fiction as we are so close to getting to this kind of technology.

The characters are really relatable and the settings were easily recognizable. The action, once it truly started, was a page turner and the whole story was really well balanced in between scenes, settings and characters. It was really a nice read that could easily take place in this day and age. Great story by Tasha Black.

La prima prima cosa che colpisce di questo romanzo, a parte la fluidità dello stile e la limpidità della trama, è la difficoltà di incasellarlo in un genere letterario. Dalle prime pagine l’ho additato come erotico, perché pieno di richiami piccanti ed efficacemente stuzzicante. Non lo è, perché non si arriva al sesso vero e proprio se non in una occasione (ma questo libro è il primo di una serie, per cui ho grosse aspettative), e avanzando si aggiungono aspetti tecnologici futuristici (sci-fi), mutazioni stile licantropi (paranormal), perfino dettagli horror. Ma c’è anche un lato drammatico, e, volendo, anche piuttosto profondo. La storia d’amore rimane sullo sfondo, mentre il nucleo del romanzo è piena adrenalina.
Mi ha preso fin da subito, soprattutto per lo stile vivace e senza veli (sia nelle scene sensuali che in quelle violente), e per la capacità di sviluppare una trama snella, riuscendo a districarsi abilmente in una storia ricca di dettagli tipici di un primo capitolo di una saga. Proprio a favore di questa linearità, un inconveniente è che la storia d’amore tra West e Cordelia viene messa in pausa nella parte centrale del romanzo, nella quale avviene lo sviluppo dei poteri del protagonista e la loro messa in opera contro i “malvagi”, come in un qualsiasi fumetto che si rispetti.
Il protagonista non è però un supereroe alla X-men. È dotato di una sua sensibilità, deve fare un percorso per accettare il suo cambiamento, che avviene in modo doloroso e faticoso. Ho trovato un aspetto molto umano in questa parte del romanzo.
L’autrice riesce a trasportarci in un mondo irreale quasi senza che ne accorgiamo. All’ambientazione realistica iniziale subentrano impercettibili elementi fantascientifici che ci portano gradualmente nella realtà alterata, che quindi sembra del tutto credibile e accettabile.
I dialoghi sono perfetti, a mio avviso. Così come lo stile e la capacità di trasmettere le emozioni. Il punto di vista è alternato, ma in terza persona, cogliendo quindi tutti i vantaggi di entrambe le caratteristiche. L’ho adorato, e l’unico mio cruccio è di essere riuscita a descrivere a sufficienza i motivi per cui questo libro mi abbia stregata.
