This book is very captivating as well as interesting I love how two people found love again after such an devastating situation that they both been through I liked how this story was so modern and believable and also have some good humor about it. I some how finding my self can't wait to turn to page for something much more desirable My only concern is the author should have added in the story if Lily was going to reconcile with her sister and share exactly what she feels about what she did to her that would of make me given this book a five stars and also make the ending more about Lily and Luke because that's what draws the reader in the first place I love how feisty and passionate Lilly character was and at times very foul language and makes me laugh every time so well written just requires more of a happy ending to me story liked that deserves happy ending too many disappointment and tragic situation that this couples need to just pull it off with sweet heart felt love and I was missing that thank u.

The book starts at Lilys wedding day. She finds her fiancé having sex at the church with someone she never imagined. Heck she didn't imagine having her wedding ripped apart by a cheating sleeze either but to add a nail to the coffin her mother knew about it the entire time. Lily packs her belongings and leaves to start a new love for herself. She drives and stays in Portland for awhile and then moves to be closer to her best friends and a new job. While moving into her new apartment she meets Sam and Luke whom she thinks are gay so she will be okay because the last thing she wants is a man. She thinks they are all scum, but Sam becomes a great friend to her and Luke just simply pisses her off. He is rude and stand offish. But she gives back whatever he dishes out and still she is drawn to him. They both are running from their lasts. Lasts that make them out up walls and guard their hearts.

When Lilys car breaks down Luke shows up on his bike and she stubbornly refuses to ride but he doesn't take no for an answer. She feels safe with Luke and can't explain reasoning behind it. Somewhere along they way they become friends and start enjoying one another's company but neither do relationships because of their pasts but there is something there between them that neither can deny and eventually the sparks will fly.

I was so captivated by the story. It's one of the ones you cannot put down you have to know everything before you become satisfied so you finish the entire book in one day. Who needs sleep and food when you can get lost in Luke Matthews????

I was proud of Lily she was mouthy and sarcastic when the time called for it and she didn't let Luke off the hook for his rudeness but boy when they finally came together it was Hot and sweet. They gave life back to one another. They fought, they made up. They were afraid yet fell in love. *swoon* they threw caution to the wind to see where life would take them and fate brought them together.

I hope they have Lil babies. He is awesome with his niece so he would def. be a awesome daddy and a hot daddy. And Lily loves kids that's why she is a teacher, and she loves Charlie so she would be a wonderful mommy. I could read more of their life 2014 seems so far away. I will wait but it's not gonna be easy.

I picked up this book because I have really enjoyed the previous 2 reads by this author, so I was excited about delving into this one. The synopsis really had be hooked, and I just couldn't image the pain Lily went through on her un-wedding day. Luke has also experienced great loss and pain, so it would make sense that these two broken souls would find each other. I enjoyed that we got to see the POV of both Luke and Lily, and I liked all of the secondary characters. Lily's family put the "dys" in dysfunctional, and just when she was trying to come to terms with everything, one more bomb shell is thrown at her. Luke and his love is the one bright spot in all of the chaos.

I wanted to really love this story, as I have the other two that I have read by this author, but something was missing for me. As much as I could relate to the pain that both Lily and Luke have been through, I did not connect with them as much as I would have liked. I almost felt like I was skimming the surface of their love rather than being enveloped by it and having my heartstrings yanked out, which I would have expected due to the tragic circumstances they have both been through. I didn't fully understand the twist involved with Giselle and Gretchen and how either really enhanced or impacted the overall storyline, but hopefully that will all be revealed in Part 2. And I hope that Part 2 will reveal the secret shared by Mary, Lily's Mom along with hearing the explanation by Lily's Sister. I wanted to really love this story, as I love this author, but sadly, I felt that the plot/premise of the story was more intriguing than the actual read. I am not giving up, as I will anxiously await Part 2, to see how it all comes together.

Der Grund warum ich nur vier Sterne gegeben habe, ist das abrupte Ende. Es ist nicht wirklich ein Cliffhanger, aber es hört einfach auf und es fehlt der runde Abschluss. Denke, ich werde den zweiten Band lesen, um zu sehen wie es weiter geht.
