This story is amazing y'all! Perfect addition to While it Lasts. Ill be honest, I was terrified to read this book, because I was worried it was gonna break my heart! I did have to eat ice cream to get through a few chapters, mind you. However, it is well worth it! You won't be sorry y'all! One of the best authors out there and awesome well developed characters! SPOILER ALERT::

The prologue for this book absolutely shocked the crap out of me. I sat it down with my mouth wide open and didn't pick it back up until 5 months later, haha! Once I got over the shock I was able to read this story within 24 hours. The flow of the book was perfect for me. I never had a moment where I wanted to put it down Bc it got boring. Eva has some awesome men in her life, and I think she would ultimately agree to that. She has been through so much loss and yet she still finds a reason to carry on each day. One of the things I love about Eva is that she is a singer songwriter. I love that she expresses herself that way. I also love the fact that she is so resilient in spite of the thighs she has had to endure in her whole life. Unfortunate things happen to Cage in this book that makes it so difficult to read at times. I really wanted him to beat the crap outta a guy named Ace and his snarky butt accomplice. I even told my friend, if there is ever a time when a girl deserved to be punched in the face it's the girl who did that to poor Cage. But Cage prevails and he grows stronger and more resilient because of it. Jeremy and Low have got to be two of the bestest friends anyone could ever have. I absolutely love both of their characters.

So if your an Abbi fan, then you will absolutely love this book. Don't hesitate like I did!

Oh my goodness this sequel is PERFECT. I fell in LOVE with Cage York in While It Lasts. He was a bad boy sent to work on a farm during the summer because of a DUI. Once their he met his match in a fierce and no-nonsense farmer's daughter named Eva Brooks. I watched them flirt, fight their attraction, and eventually succumb to love. Although at the end of that book they were in a good place, its in this sequel, we watch them fight for their happily ever after. Through heartache and tragedy,Abby Glines gives us one heck of a roller-coaster ride.

This story takes off where While It Lasts ended, Cage and Eva are happy and totally in love. Faced with their first big decision as a couple, whether to move interstate to attend a college that would offer Cage a full-ride scholarship and an opportunity to play college baseball. Then we watch as Eva's whole world comes crashing down around her. Her father is dying. She chooses to stay back and look after her dad and the farm. Eva decides not to hold Cage back from his dream. She tells Cage to go to college on his own, for their future. He reluctantly agrees.

What starts as a temporary long-distance relationship soon turns into missed phone calls and weird text messages. Next thing you know Cage and Eva are over. Eva's pain, coupled with the sorrow from watching her father die is heartbreaking. My heart was breaking for her. Then their is Cage who is facing his own demons far away from Eva. Her parting words digging into his soul. She made him remember himself as the unwanted little boy. The little boy who's own mother called him her biggest mistake.

"Just like my momma had when she'd called me her biggest mistake, she'd meant it. How could I fight for someone who didn't want me?"

Cage then finds out about Eva's dad passing, and at his funeral discovers Eva is pregnant with his child. He decides to fight for Eva. He becomes a man on a mission, he pursues her persistently and passionately. Although he resents her for giving up on them so easily and rejecting his love so easily, he loves her more than anything else in his life. He cannot see his future without Eva in it. His actions prove to be so much better than words.

Oh my goodness Abby Glines knows exactly how to RIP my poor little heart out. She pulls me in grabs a hold and tears me up. Make sure you have a box of tissues while reading this book. You will need them. I also LOVED that as we got to catch up on all the rest of the Sea Breeze gang. I would love to see Preston and Amanda get another book also. This book if FANTASTIC. One of my favorites of 2013.

I couldn't wait for this book to be released. While it Lasts  While It Lasts  was the very first Abbi Glines book I ever read and I was hooked. After quickly reading all of her other books in a month (I am not THAT embarrassed to admit I pulled all nighters more than a couple times) I was anxiously awaiting the release of Sometimes It Lasts. I was not disappointed. It falls in line with Abbi's other books of passionate and intense drama and romance. Cage and Eva's story has always been filled with a lot of heartache and their love for each other is just amazing. They're by far my favourite couple (probably because they were the first ones I was introduced to.) Without revealing any spoilers, I will say this: you better get ready to ride the rollercoaster of emotion. It was incredibly hard to put this book down (sleep is for the weak) and I finished it all in one night. I would recommend this book to all of my young adult friends in a heartbeat. Keep up the great work Abbi!

Cage and Eva....
The country girl and the bad boy return.
I instantly fell in love with Cage when i read Because of Low like everyone else, i waited for Cage's story and i wasn't disappointed in While It Last. When i knew that they would be a sequel i mark every day in my calendar: the countdown had begun!
Yesterday at midnight Sharp i was on Amazon ready. I read the book in 5 hours, i couldn't put it down, i had to know their end and again Abbi done it right.
That woman is incredible in her writing, it was like i was hypnotized. Not only she writes books, she also writes songs! With amazing lyrics and i am so happy that it is available on Itunes :)
I grinned like a psycho reading it, i cried too, tears streamed down my face and then i laughed so hard i had cramps. The book is a perfect mix of what you want to feel when you read a story.

Beautiful, just beautiful.

Cage and Eva, how good they were for each other, both found each other when they needed someone.

They were moving to Tennessee, for Cage to start his scholarship and play baseball, but Eva's dad was poorly. He had hidden it from her, but with two days to go before moving her world falls apart, and not for the first time. She had lost her first love, he was in the military. After he lost his life, she leaned on his brother Jeremy who was there for her.

Eva had met Cage the previous year, when he was sent to work on her father's farm, in order to get his scholarship, which he did, and he also got the girl.

So Cage went to college without her, and ended up staying with another teammate. Who was incredibly jealous of Cage getting his place on the team, he had him set up, and sent incriminating evidence to Eva, who was dealing with her sick father, leaned on Jeremy after receiving texts and pictures. Cage did the most stupid thing and didn't fight for her, she tells him it's over, and again her world is rocked, she then finds out she is expecting, but hasn't heard from Cage and she hasn't called him either, he finds out her father passes over, and turns up to the funeral, where he sees her tummy! oh my how do you deal with something like that!

He then decides he needs to prove to Eva that he won't be leaving, that he wants to be there for her with everything, even after learning she got engaged to Jeremy.

It takes a few weeks, but things work out beautifully for the two of them, the epilogue was really lovely, can't wait to hear what happens next in Sea Breeze.
