Due to an overprotective father and a tragedy involving her mother, Myra has been forced to watch from the shadows for most of her life, with the exception of one night spent dancing with Daniel, only to have it end in misunderstanding and heartache. When Daniel finds her alone and in need of help in the woods shortly after an attack on her family's castle, he offers her protection and help in fulfilling her brother's last request of her, and he hopes to rectify the misunderstanding that pulled them apart in the first place. Daniel and Myra had great chemistry from the beginning and their history together, just made it all the more intriguing. I found both characters very engaging and the story kept me riveted until the end. I look forward to reading Ronan and Julianna's story in the next book in this series, The Highlander's Warrior Bride, expected out March 2013. Great Series!

This was a good story that fit in well with the series. It is perfectly fine as a stand alone. I enjoyed the characters, Daniel and Myra. It was an interesting journey that they had to take. I look forward to the next book in this series.

I love to read Eliza Knight’s stories about the Sutherland family. This story is about Strath who is Laird Mangus Sutherland’s son. Strath is the
Laird of Dornoch. He also does different jobs for his King Robert the Bruce. This mission is to go to England capture a man by the name of Lord Belfinch and to see if Lady Eva de Clare was alive. Lady Eva’s father the Lord Northwyck was being blackmail by Lord Belfinch. Belfinch is going to marry Lady Eva and there is no one who will stand up for Lady Eva.
Now arriving at the gate to capture Belfinch, Strath finds them in the chapel. Strath kidnaps Lady Eva. They head back to Scotland knowing that Belfinch and Lord Northwyck will follow.
Strath heads to Glasgow where his Uncle Jamie and Aunt Lorna live
Secrets start to unfold and learning to trust is important. Several things happens, I think that if you love Scottish stories you would enjoy reading this book.
HAPPY READING !!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the rivalry between Myra and Daniel. They fought, teased, and explored each other on their journey to get an important message to the Bruce. Both of them stubborn as a mule only led to one of them having to cave in. Daniel and Myra were quickly learning each others moves as they danced the tango. Neither one wanting to take a break. Gradually Daniel's plan to get Myra to trust him and share her secrets paid off.
If Myra wanted to make it safely to deliver her message to the Bruce she was going to have to trust and forgive Daniel for breaking her heart years before. Laird Ross was a traitor to the Scots and had killed her family, and she had information that would save the future Scottish king and all the Scots. With so many decisions in front of her she couldn't fail her clan by deciding with her heart.
Definitely read Knights 3rd book in the series of The Stolen Bride. You have to find out if she makes it to the Bruce in time to save his life, and who she chooses; her clan or Daniel.

The only reason I keep reading and listening to these books because they are written for the late 1200’s and early 1300’s. I want something different. I have no idea of what relationships were like between men and women but the author’s depiction does not feel true

I thoroughly enjoyed this third installment in Ms. Knight's Stolen Bride Series. Descriptions are well done, characters are believable and there is plenty of action to keep the reader interested. This is the 6th book by Ms. Knight I've read. I strongly recommend her work if you love Scottish Historical Romance. I look forward to her next offering.

This is the third book in the series and I believe this and the first have been my favorite so far. It was a fast pace and I loved the character of Myra she wasn't a typical damsel in distress by any means. I liked how she didn't complain and quickly came to the most logical solutions. She also had a mouth on her and a backbone. Can't wait to read the next in the series.
I only didn't give it 5 stars because I felt like there was a lot on inner monologue that didn't progress the story anywhere it was just the same thoughts and worries as well as I though Daniels character could have developed a bit more.

A fun highland adventure with very appealing characters. I enjoyed this story very much and found Myra and Daniel’s chemistry an intriguing part of the plot. Lots of political unrest in the time of Robert the Bruce and William Wallace, but fortunately, it didn’t get too bogged down in that arena. The focus was mostly the captivating relationship between Myra and Daniel. Eager to read the next in the series.

Book 3 in series but can be read as a stand-alone

Well written with great characters. Lots of action, a strong, determined Myra on a mission to save the King; meets an equally determined Daniel who wanted one last adventure before settling down to wed.

Thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and made the sizzling chemistry between Myra & Daniel a page turner for me.

Really enjoyed the story. I only wish that American authors would understand that it is Autumn in the UK not Fa!l. A minor thing but so annoying... Looking forward to reading Ronan and Julianna's story.
