Brianna McGraw ventures out West to find and rescue her brother from bandits who will sell him illegally to the highest bidder. Brianna needs money to buy her young brother back. When she spots a wanted poster for one Trey Morgan for the exact amount that will buy his freedom, this Boston Librarian decides to bring him in. She reads everything she can find on tracking, and capturing felons. It doesn't hurt that she is also a good horse woman and can shoot with the best of them. After all not only does she have capture him she has to trek with him on a journey of over 900 miles to turn him in.

It doesn't hurt that Brianna captures Trey imagination and he can't believe this little wisp of a woman thinks she can not only capture him but manage to keep him while being trailed by his brothers. It turns out she is a match for all of them, until a mountain lions takes her down just a couple of days outside of her target city. What happens will leave you breathless. These Morgan men are nothing if not persistent when they find their match and they don't take no for an answer.

You will really like this one. Find out if Trey is a marrying family kind of man one that will accept a ready made family.

A Wanted Man is a nice piece of writing. I read the Kindle edition over two days and found this western romance an agreeable way to pass the time. I didn’t have to deal with a non-stop morass of vulgar dialogue and harsh language; and I didn’t have to wade through gratuitous descriptions of love-play. The plot is straightforward, non-complicated, and moves right along at a nice canter.

The two principal characters are interesting and colorfully drawn. These are people I would enjoy knowing more about. I appreciated Bri McGraw’s motivation and subsequent actions, even if concurrently I shook my head at the improbably passive response of Trey Morgan.

I would have liked a little more detail and color in Ms Parra’s descriptions of secondary characters, locale, guns and horses, but that’s a matter of taste speaking rather than a flaw in the writing. Nancy tells her story very capably.

If there is one unfortunate down side, I probably found the final chapter lacking some credibility. Still, the ending speaks to the type of persons our two protagonists are purported to be. I’m sure I can make adjustments.

In the meantime, I’ll be looking for a second title from this author.
