About the author
I’m a romantic at heart. A true romantic. I love the idea of a happy ending, so much so I have trouble writing a sad one. The world is sad enough. I like escaping in fiction. That’s just me. I like sarcasm and snark – but I’m not sure a sad ending is in me. If you’re looking for an edge like that, you’re probably looking in the wrong place. Just FYI.
I am the author of the Hardy Brothers Security romantic suspense series, A Maddie Graves Mystery series, An Ivy Morgan Mystery series and the upcoming A Harper Harlow Mystery series.
I love magic and love. I hope you do, too.
Thank you so much for reading!

Ivy's aunt Felicity is a suspect, as well as Lucy and Fanny, as they and Zelda were all in a relationship with a disgusting womanizer named Henry.
We discover that Felicity had a great love when Ivy and Max were little, but he moved away.
Ivy consults with ghostly Susan Bishop to improve her magic.
And determines to use it to find the killer.
And it's so sweet to see Max settling down with Amy, and being a father figure to JJ.
Wonderful story, wonderful series.
I will say I never understand how the law enforcement girlfriends think it's normal or acceptable to be involved in the investigation like a detective or officer. Help, be sneaky about helping, it's needed for these stories but you are not allowed to be angry if you're told you shouldn't. Usually it doesn't seem as prominent as it was in this book and yes her Aunt is involved so I may be being harsh.
That said I still loved the book. I will re read it.
Part of seeing the growth of the Characters it's like your Part of their family. If an author can make you feel that way then it's a great series.

Zelda's as far from ok as can be, lying dead in a pool of blood having been stabbed in a frenzied attack. Calling in Brian and Jack doesn't make Ivy's overwhelming guilt at not realising what was going on in the room lessen. They have to include both girls as suspects and when they call Patsy, Zelda's daughter, to the store so they can inform her of her mother's passing things get worse.
Patsy's hurting, she's angry, she's devastated and she instantly and volubly declares that Ivy is the killer and demands her immediate arrest.
Neither detective seriously considers Ivy a suspect but protocols have to be followed and Jack is in an uncomfortable position that's about to become a whole lot worse.
Zelda was dating Henry.. so, it turns out, were Fanny, Lucy and Felicity.. as Jack now has to interview his wife-to-be's Aunt as a potential murderer Ivy's mother is furious.. how dare he? Her daughter? Her sister? Ivy's upset and despite having rowed about it she understands that Jack has a job.. Luna however is now questioning her daughter's family loyalty.. Ava's fuelling the rumours that Ivy's guilty and that Jack's looking for a way to avoid the wedding..
What should be a happy time is becoming increasingly difficult and unhappy for all. Ivy needs to master her powers to find not just the missing link but a missing person too.. even though it's someone she loathes she's going to do her best although it's going to get her into serious trouble in the end.
