Publisher's summary

Emotional, endearing, and full of romance, don't miss this brand new stand-alone heart-wrenching story by USA Today best-selling author Claudia Burgoa!

Tucker Decker is an infamous billionaire. He’s ruthless, impulsive, cold-hearted, and hot as sin. He likes his relationships casual and his commitments without strings. But when it comes to his former bandmates, he’d do anything for them. Tragedy demands sacrifice.

I’m an independent woman. I’ve learned never to ask for help. And I certainly didn't want it from Tucker. When my sister left us both to care for my niece, we realize co-parenting may be harder than we thought. Especially when we're fighting a desire for each other.

When the ghosts of our past come back to haunt us, will we find that there's still an us after all?

Beautiful Story

Not gonna lie, I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did! Such a pleasant surprise. The start was a little rocky for me because I kept getting confused with all the characters and the jumping back and forth, but that quickly subsided into a heart wrenching story of family, love and loss. I don't always read blurbs all the way through and I never look at reviews before starting a book so I was going into this one pretty blind. I actually cried at a couple parts. I am not usually a book crier so it caught me off guard. The slow burn of the romance was the perfect pace and after the rocky start I found myself feeling all the feels and loving the characters and their story development.

Heartbreaking Love Story

This book follows Tucker Decker, and if you read the Perfect Everlasting Duet, then you know he's the son that Thea gave up for adoption. We learned that Thea eventually fights to get Tucker back, as he was treated poorly by his adoptive parents. Unfortunately, Tucker still held some resentment towards her, as he could not forgive her for ever abandoning him. His painful past makes him cold and ruthless, the only people he loves are his former bandmates from The Sinner of Seattle.

I have to be honest, the book was kind of hard to pick up at the beginning, but fortunately, I have read the duet featuring Tucker's parents, so I was not completely lost. There are a lot of characters involved, and it can get confusing really fast. This is a very slow burn, I have to say the romance didn't really pick up until 70% of the book, so much going on around them, it's more like a family drama for the good half part of the book.

It's very heartbreaking, frustrating and overall sad story with a happy ending. I thought what happened to Tucker and Sage was bad enough, but then we were thrown with a tragedy of May's parents which is utterly devastating. This book just tore my heart out and put it back together. If you're ever looking for an emotional romance that will punch you in the gut, look no further than Claudia Burgoa's book.

There are many triggering content in this book, please take care when you're reading.

Both narrators are new to me, and I'm sorry to say that they didn't quite work for me. The male narrator sounds so excited all the time, I feel like listening to a TV Show host talking. The female narrator did a bit better on the emotional part, unfortunately, I don't like her "male" voice, find it really distracting.

Love!

Sage and Tucker are the epitome of people coming into each other's lives and being exactly what the other needed. They may not have asked for this but in the face of tragedy they come together and it's oh, so sweet. It's a slow burn though and lots happens between the beginning and when they actually come together but I became invested and found myself smiling half the time. The narrators did such a great job of bringing the characters to life I practically couldn't stop listening. I loved this!

Loved it! Emotional and charming story!

I recently listened to Us After You by Claudia Burgoa, narrated by George Newbern and Grace Grant, and I loved it. This was an emotional, heartwarming and a slow burning romance with so many feels. A story of two people who do not want to let love in and carry baggage that is hard to let go. When life throws them an expected curve, they cannot let go of the other so easily. But do they really want too?

Tucker and Sage had amazing chemistry, but their pasts haunted them deeply. Tucker was very determined, but also protective and caring. Sage has been hurt in the past but is trying to move forward. It was great seeing not only Tucker and Sage fall but seeing how this group of friends banded together. Another great story from this author.

Happy listening!

Us After You

Claudia Burgoa is adept at writing characters and stories that are engaging and unique. Us After You is no exception.

Tucker and Sage are brought together to care for a baby that is not theirs, she is Sage's niece. I knew as much from the blurb of the book, but did not know the emotional ride this story would take me on. There is so much that they have both been through, and they now need to find a way to move forward together in the present. The ups and downs they experienced made me so happy to see them find their way as the story progressed.

I can be picky about my audiobooks, but I was not disappointed here! The narrators did a great job bringing the story to life and keeping me engaged.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit and am looking forward to reading more of the author's books!

Romance at its best

This is one of my favourite reads and George Newbern and Grace Grant did a great job bringing this story and the characters to life.

Us after You is an emotional read that captivated me and if you are looking for a beautifully written romance with characters that have depth and that you can connect with look no further than this novel, this author has given us a love story that you can tell came from the heart.
I’m not going to write a review full of spoilers because I believe you need to read this book with no preconceived ideas it’s a story that needs to be looked at first hand so I’m just going to tell you how this book made me feel.
I was touched on so many levels , I cried, I smiled, I laughed and at times I wanted to throw my kindle at the wall , this love story is not all sweetness and light, at times it’s dark but the one thing that comes out throughout this book is there is light at the end of the tunnel, from sadness comes happiness and from hate comes love. This is a book I highly recommend for all romance lovers, this author is not afraid to talk about subjects other may shy away from and for me that as well as the wonderful characters and the way the story flowed made this a wonderful read and a wonderful listen

Emotional & Angsty Billionaire Romance

𝐔𝐬 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮 by Claudia Burgoa is an emotionally charged book about two wounded souls coming together in the wake of unspeakable tragedy to care for a defenseless baby girl, but also find their own light in the darkness in the process. To the world at large, Tucker Decker has been the famous frontman of the Sinners of Seattle, a ruthless businessman, and generous philanthropist, but few people know the deep emotional scars he carries from his tumultuous childhood. The enduring feeling of not being enough leaves a mark on a person. Constantly trying to save your friends without being dragged into the abyss yourself is futile in some cases. When he met Sage, the chemistry between them was obvious and instant, but they just weren’t ready for each other, as she had demons from her own past still dogging her heels. Life had to throw more tragedy, drama, and sacrifice at them, in order for them to be ready to fight for something better.

I listened to the audio version narrated by George Newbern & Grace Grant, and I’m honestly blown away! I don’t know how they read this beautifully painful and poignant story without getting emotional themselves!!🥹 The emotions throughout the story were so raw and gritty, with twists that had me crying. Don’t get me wrong, there were happy moments too! The way Tucker totally melted for the baby was a major swoon factor!! I just love the way the narrators were able to embody the full range of emotions, as well as all the different characters! And that ending? So much happiness!!😍

Enthralling & Heartfelt! Amazing Story & Listen🎧

Claudia Burgoa pens another amazing novel set in her “Sinners of Seattle” world, and those Sinners are some of my favorite characters, the Deckers too. Besides the Sinners, characters from some of her other books and series make appearances. Burgoa’s world building is phenomenal, and I love how she built most of her books/series in the same world, and characters occasionally crossover and appear in other books. This book stands on its own, so if you haven’t read or listened to any of the other books, you will not feel lost or like something is missing, because everything you need to know is in the descriptive details. Now back to “Us After You”, this book is Tucker Decker and Sage Haywood’s story and wow, what a story it is, not only did it captivate my attention the entire time but it tugged on my heartstrings too. Their story is an emotional rollercoaster like no other, Tucker has grown so much as a person since he was first introduced, he got a handle on his inner demons and he is finally the person he was meant to be and he has finds the person he wants to be with. Sage’s sister, Sienna, fell in love with Patrick, who the Sinners just called Rocco. Despite his failed attempts at staying clean, they still considered him family and we see that more than ever in this book. Sienna asks Sage to help put her wedding together, and this is how she first meets Tucker, the man with many names. Sage left NY to get away from her abusive ex-husband and to help her grandparents with their bookstore. When dealing with her parents, Sage rarely spoke what was on her mind, she just said what they wanted to hear, and the best thing she did was get away from them and her loser of an ex. Life throws here another curve ball after a tragedy and lands her straight into the Sinner’s world and side by side with Decker. She gets to witness what a family should really be like when it all hits the fan. This beautifully written and plotted story has plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, some angst, heart-rending and gut wrenching moments and a slow burn romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧And for the wonderful narration, George Newbern and Grace Grant did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were and gave each a voice that was a perfect fit. Grace Grant nailed it as Sage, humanized and grasping her every emotion and had you feeling every single one, and Newbern did the same for Tucker. Both were fabulous at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this amazing listen.

Entertaining

This was Tucker Decker and Sage Hayward’s story and what a story it is, ticking quite a few boxes for me. Narrated by George Newbern and Grace Grant who did a good job bringing the story to life for me. Their voices were easy to listen to and did justice to the story that Ms. Burgoa wove.

This book got to me on numerous levels; it was funny, sad, emotional and the chemistry between Tucker and Sage was intense as it built. Can they deny what is staring them both in the face? Or will they give in to the desire that is burning between them?

This is a story of self discovery, of facing ones past and moving forward into the future, if you dare to take a leap of faith. The characters were entertaining and the story was well written. Angsty at times and heart warming it made me laugh and made me cry.

Will they take a chance on one another and in doing so find love and a happily ever after that they both deserve? You will need to one click this book to find out.
