Cursed, blackmailed, and on the run…this meet-cute is a meet-catastrophe.

Like all the women in her family, Eva’s emotions wreak havoc on nearby electrical devices. Despite living in modern-day Los Angeles, she can’t have a cell phone, use a computer, or be in a car for more than a few minutes without killing it.

Keeping her otherworldly nature hidden defines every aspect of Eva’s life—but never more so than when a stranger threatens to expose her secret to the world, forcing Eva into a bizarre scheme to hide a stolen baby elephant.

Hudson is in the wrong place at the right time, charging to Eva’s rescue . . . whether she wants his help or not. Sexy and resourceful—and a suspicious, analytical electrical engineer—Hudson is the last person Eva needs entangled in her problems.

However, as they dodge repeated attempts on her life made by ruthless corporations hunting the elephant, Eva finds it impossible to quell her growing affection for Hudson.

But if she lets her emotions free and falls in love with Hudson, neither of them will survive.

"I laughed out loud too many times to count, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a romance, and a comedy, but it was also a mystery and a light thriller, as well. It's not young adult, but I highly recommend it to adult romance fans that like a unique, funny, and yes, even sexy at times, read." (Pure Textuality)

This book made me laugh out loud so many times that people actually turned to stare at me. After sometime I was able to tell each person that yes I was alright, no I wasn't crazy I was just enjoying a really great book. One of the first things that attracted me to the book was the title I wanted to know why it was named tiny glitches, what or who was glitching. Once I met the characters I was glad I picked up the book. I wish there was a part two because I am not quite ready to let the characters go yet. I truly adored this book.

I love RC's gargoyle books so I decided to try her story in the mundane world, sorta. I like the characters. Eva has a curse where she drains electricity in her surroundings when she is emotional. She is a feng shui consultant with no electronic footprint. She meets Hudson a security expert when her artist aunt's paintings are stolen from a gallery. There is instant attraction. She then is attacked by a random woman she went to high school with who handcuffs her inability trailer with a mini elephant while blackmailing her into taking care of it or she will reveal her curse. There follows an incredibly convoluted series of events where they are hiding the elephant, being kidnapped, roughed up, followed by ninjas, the FBI and random folk. I thought the story probably could have been shorter as it started to drag as complication after complication kept popping up ad infinitum. I had a few problems with the story. Eva sees apparitions around people that indicates their character and or emotions. But there is very little explanation of what they mean and she doesn't seem to know either. A sword for a white knight complex ok but monopoly pieces? Even if she doesnt interpret all of them at least those around the hero would be nice. Some are obvious but its distracting to have all these images without explanation. I dont want to have to stop and do a psych test every time she meets someone new. Another problem I had was that she was not pissed off enough that this savant genetic scientist almost got her and her aunt killed and was still playing stupid riddles while manipulating 3 corporations, the FBI and some psycho bounty hunter because shes just so smart. If Jennifer was so freaking smart she shouldn't have been a corporate spy double agent geneticist. It was just alot. I would give it 3.5 stars but that wasn't an option. It was very well written but I would have liked more character interaction and explanation and less keystone cops with violence.

Hi Rebecca! I really enjoyed tiny glitches. I read a lot of paranormal books and this one brought something new and unique to the story. The gift and curse aspect made watching the characters grow into their talents interesting. I hope you will write more of the story. What is the deal with Eva's mom? Does Eva get married? Does she get to travel? Btw the sex scenes are fun and not over done. After all, girls want their guys to be studly and white knights.

Fast paced. Witty. A laugh out loud fun read with sparkling sexy highlights that simply flew by!

Everything I read out of this author gets me hooked fast and keeps me reading late into the night. How, oh HOW does Chastain pack that much action and imagination in one novel?

Two thumbs up!

Eva has a family curse that keeps her from able to be around electricity without draining it. This has led her to be very creative about how she lives and what she tells others about herself.

Awesome, quirky story that had me laughing out loud. I've since read all of her work. Highly recommended. Lighthearted and funny without being so common you feel like you've already read it.

This is a wonderful and quirky romance. I loved it!

Eva Parker is an unusual character. I liked her a lot, but wanted to shake her at times. She is a Feng Shui consultant with an unusual gift. Unfortunately, she has a problem with electricity - she absorbs it. This powers her ability to see the emotions of people as pictures/hallucinations. This makes it awkward when getting from one place to another, or staying in one place too long, which leads to batteries dying and power cuts. When she gets embroiled in a situation involving a stolen elephant, she needs to keep her wits about her. However, Hudson Keyes muddies the waters even more and she finds herself falling for him.

This is a wonderfully quirky romance, full of action, adventure, danger and weird and wonderful characters. It is told through the eyes of Eva. I started to read and was quickly swept away. I fell in love with the descriptive writing. I could picture each and every scene with clarity. The characters are lifelike and likable. I giggled at a lot of the descriptions of the emotional visions that Eva sees, though some are a little disturbing too. I loved the two characters, Atlas and Edmond. These two bumbling cousins had me chuckling at their antics. Also, the mention of baking and cakes kept making me feel hungry. I don't know how good Edmond's cakes really were, but my mouth was watering every time there was mention of it and the coffee cake too, which is Eva's favourite dessert. Therefore, either eat something before you start this book or you'll be salivating at it too.

The story took me on a roller coaster ride from beginning to end. I did feel, however, that the plot had a few holes in it, which left a few loose ends. I still felt that Hudson's past was not explored enough. There were hints, but the reader has to make their own interpretation of what the images Eva sees around him mean. He never actually confirms or denies things, as Eva never comes out and asks him about his life. Therefore, he remains a bit of an enigma. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these characters.

Rebecca Chastain has written a wonderful comedic romance. I love her fast paced writing style. However, the flow seemed a little choppy at times. I have not read any other books written by this author, but I would definitely read more of her books in the future.

Due to some scenes of an explicit nature (though not as explicit as some I've read), I do not recommend this book to younger readers. However, I highly recommend this book if you love quirky contemporary romances, or paranormal romances. - Lynn Worton
