    This book left me speechless. There was not a boring moment, every page was filled with action. This book follows the lives of two adopted sisters, Ta'Shara and LeShelle. Ta'Shara is a straight A student and plans on becoming a doctor. LeShelle turns to the streets and is the main chick (Queen G) of one of the deadliest men in Memphis, Python. All LeShelle wants is to become Python's wife and she is willing to do anything to accomplish that. Python and LeShelle are gang members and there is a war going on between them and a rival gang. In this city if you aren't reppin a set, there is no protection, but Ta'Shara wants no parts of that and tries her best to stay away from the gang activity. I would definitely recommend this book, it was a great read.

    Ms. Diamond did not disappoint in her first solo street lit effort. We are introduced to the Memphis ganglife through natives Ta'Shara, LeShelle, Yolanda and Melanie.

    Sisters Ta'Shara and LeShelle are at constant odds with each other because of Ta'Shara's position as the leader of the Queen G's. Ta'Shara is constantly trying to prove to her man Python that she is a ride or die chick. LeShelle wants no part of the ganglife and is happy for the escape she is provided by her adoptive parents in their suburban home and her man Profit. Yolanda is looking for a big upgrade and is willing to do ANYTHING to gain wifey status with one of the gang's top leaders. Finally, Melanie, a police detective whose intimate ties to Python(Leader of the Gangsta Disciples) may compromise her position on the police force or will her secrets cost her everything?!

    Ms. Diamond weaves a dangerous tale as these four ladies fight for their men and their lives.

    Fans of urban literature will not be disappointed.

    Definitely worth picking up.

I loved how De'Nesha Diamond gave the important characters a voice. All the play makers got to tell their version of events, and it kept me wondering what the hell was going to happen next.

    I loved the flashbacks. It gave just enough back story to fill in the blanks. And Momma Peaches had the best stories to tell. She had to be one of my favorite characters. She was funny as heck. Momma Peaches did what she wanted to do, and she liked her men young. When she was messing around with Arzell and his grandmother came over to get Momma Peaches straight...well that didn't happen Momma Peaches gave her some good weed and set her straight.Then to make matters worse, Arzell arse walks in the kitchen naked. Lawd I thought I was going to die laughing!!!

    I also liked that the character's names were different. There was Ta'Shara and Profit, LeShelle and Python, Melanie and Python, and Yo-Yo and Python. Python seems to be the trending name in this book. That dude got around town with everyone. He was crazy as all get out, always playing with them snakes and his weird sexual preferences. He made my skin crawl.

    I am dying to start book 2. I need for LeShelle to get hers. She is always talking about loyalty, but that's only if it involves Python. She is so worried about the wife upgrade that she will destroy anyone standing in her way - including her own sister. Ta'Shara and Profit didn't ask for this drama, they were enlisted in it. And I can't wait to see how their story unfolds.

    When I first started to read this book, I was somewhat bored with it. The beginning was extremely slow for me and there were entirely too many characters for me to put pieces or occurrences together. Each person left me needing more as if a lot (or maybe a tiny bit) was missing.
    It was until I got half way through the book that I feverishly tapped my Kindle for the next page, and the next page, and the next. From that point on it was smooth sailing. The chilling revelations may leave you stuck, as it did for me. There was no holding back on the ignorance, sex, grime, love, lust, and betrayal in this book. It left me thirsty for more. I'll patiently await the release of Street Divas.
    Hump. While there's a thin line between love and hate, the space in between is deeper

    When I first started Hustlin Divas I felt that there were so many characters and way too much going on. As I continued reading and familiarizing myself with each character's story, I couldn't put the book down. This book kept me on my toes and I developed feelings for each individual character. I loved some of the characters, I hated some of the characters and I wanted to knock some of the character's smooth out, and in my opinion that signifies a good book. There was a twist in the book that I didn't expect at all and the ending has me rushing to read part 2. I'm excited to see what will happen with the rest of this series.
