Chris Wenger has worked in the criminal justice field for more years than she cares to remember. She has a dual master's degree in Probation and Parole Studies and Sociology from Fordham University, but the knowledge gained from such studies certainly did not prepare her for what she loves to do the most--writing romance and mysteries!

Her first book, THE LADY AND THE COWBOY, a western historical, was written for beginning adult readers and was sold to Laubach Literacy. In 1998, it was chosen by the Publishers Liaison Committee of the Public Library Association's Adult Lifelong Learning Section as one of the "Top Titles for Adult New Readers."

Chris currently writes for Harlequin Books. THE COWBOY WAY was released in January 2005. Since then, she has published seven books. HOW TO LASSO A COWBOY was a finalist in the Central NY Writers Awards in 2011. LASSOED INTO MARRIAGE will be available in June of 2013.

Chris's first cozy mystery, called DO OR DINER, will be available in August of 2013 from Pengin Obsidian Books.

A native Central New Yorker, she enjoys watching professional bull riding and rodeo with her favorite cowboy, her husband Jim.

I was awesome and cozy with the blizzard happening in South Harbor. They invite a guest to judge a mac and cheese contest. She is bossy and arrogant until she’s not. But stopping Trixie and her friend from investigating not gonna happen. Follow along, giggle at the humor and get hungry. Plus, you have a mystery to solve

Christine Wenger has written another well written, page turning "cozy" mystery. I absolutely love this particular series----I just wish Trixie would get together soon with the Sheriff. What's it been, CW---4 books???? Plot and characters are well developed. Trixie and Antionette Chloe make quite a laughable, lighthearted mystery solving duo. More please. It's always take out or "go out" for a few nights when Wenger's book flies into my Kindle. Cannot put it down.

This is absolutely a book that can be read in one sitting. The main character had me laughing so hard at times I had to focus to move one. A great winter mystery

Another nifty entry in this fun cozy series. I really enjoy series like this where you feel as though the characters are real and you know them! Can't wait for the next one!

I didn't really care for the last book in this series, but really enjoyed this one. The story was fun even though it involved murder. The characters were interesting and ACB is just as funny as ever. We all need a friend like ACB. I did figure our who the murderer was early on so that wasn't a surprise. It was still a fun read.

I like this series. It's light but with some unexpected turns. The characters are likeable, maybe a bit unique, but likeable. Stories are well developed and entertaining.

I like books that are easy to read and take my mind off of other things for a while. This book fits the bill.
