Compulsion (Harlequin Presents, 422) Mass Market Paperback – January 1, 1980
by
Charlotte Lamb
(Author)
"Should she belive a stranger's words? Lissa had never heard of Luc Ferrier before. But he was well-known as Lucifer at the hotel casino where she worked. All her instincts cried out that he was dangerous - not only as a gambler, but as a man. So why should she blindly accept the shocking things he was telling her about Chris, her long time fiance? And even if he was right about Chris, trusting Luc would be like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. For she knew exactly what Luc was after." This is from the back cover of the book.

I liked this book, but I didn't love it. Again, another of Charlotte Lamb's books that dragged a tiny bit in places. The characters were ok, but not what I like to see from a favorite author

From the back: Should she believe a stranger's words?
Lissa had never heard of Luc Ferrier before. But he was well-known as Lucifer at the hotel casino where she worked. All her instincts cried out that he was dangerous - not only as a gambler, but as a man. So why should she blindly accept the shocking things he was telling her about Chris, her fiance? And even if he was right about Chris, trusting Luc would be like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. For she knew exactly what Luc was after...
My thoughts: I loved the story it was very exciting, fast read and enjoyable. I'm kinda into the young heroine older hero. But not just that the story I thought was really good, it was almost like an adventure. And I liked it that the heroine didn't lose her values and didn't just say to heck with it, i'll be with him even if it'll hurt me, stuff like that. But of course, she didn't have to fear, the hero was totally in love with her you'll know it by the few pages to the ending, yay! Very enjoyable! I gave it four star coz I wish the book was longer!!
