What a fantastic addition to the MacLerie series. This was one of my favorite of this series. The characters were engaging and true to their pain and repressed passions. I felt for their circumstances and wanted them to find a way through all of the lies and deceptions. The storyline was well written and added some suspenseful moments. I also enjoyed the glimpses from previous characters of the other books. Well written and highly recommended. I look forward to the next book which hopefully will feature Rurik's daughter as the next matchmaking victim.

The story of Rob and Lilidh is a highland kidnap scenario but resonates with it's own distinctive delivery. What really struck me in addition to a quality book filled with passion, intrigue and interesting characters is the authors ability to continue the story of central characters from previous books and yet not detract from the focus of the story at hand. Nice continuance of a well crafted series!
