Terri Brisbin has graced her audience with another masterful tale with Stolen by the Highlander ( A Highland Feuding). This is a story filled with surprises and wonderful characters. Brisbin has created a strong silent hero and a heroine who compliments him masterfully. As we know, we each develop proclivities, tendencies and coping skills as we grow and mature to assist or hinder us when we experience trauma(s) or other developmental issues. And the people in this story share theirs with us. Brisbin exposes these proclivities with the skill of a surgeon, lays them wide open and then allows the insights of the people involved to either heal and overcome or to allow bitterness, greed, and a lust for power to destroy them.
And in order for this self-exploration to take place Brisbin presents is with a cast of malcontents, including the main villain. the hero and heroine and support characters, many of them also using introspection to understand and settle their own personal and political conflict.
This is a typical highland conflict but with many twists and turns, suspense, reconciliation, redemption and love, sweet love. The story is well edited, spelling correct, words used appropriately, ideas flowed smoothly, and scenes shifted from one scene to another smoothly, making this an easy, enjoyable read.
It must be difficult for authors to to delve so deeply into the psyche of so many characters, and at the same time portray smashing, fast-paced action, and entwine them both together in a great story. Although I read voraciously, I do not see this often. Only great authors are capable of this and Brisbin has established her ability to do it and do it with exceptional skill.
Stolen by the Highlander will prove to be a real treat for those who follow Brisbin and a great introduction for her first- time readers. You will not be disappointed in this book. It is worth every penny of the cost!
Brisban, Salute and write quickly~

As a woman caught between two feuding clans, Arabella is meant to put an end to the feuding through marriage. At first she is getting to know two men, one of which will be chosen to lead the clan and become her betrothed. I was thinking that the book was going in one direction and then was shocked when it took a turn in a very different direction. I liked that the plot could surprise me. I also liked many of the characters. There was action, adventure, betrayals and passion. The passion heated up very hot at times. All in all, a very entertaining and engaging book. I look forward to the next in the series. I have to comment on the female cover model, who did not look at all like what I was picturing....very disappointing.

I could not put this book down. Another very good read. Different from all the others, but just as good. There is intrigue and excitement and most of all, love. I really loved it that the evil murderous cousin got his in the end.

The story was swoon-worthy, the peril well crafted, and the pages filled with heart-pounding adventure. A 5 star, fantastic read!

Liked the chemistry between H&H. The story was a bit much, however. I kind of lost interest after a while, and started skimming pages for more romance between them. A strange ending for such a treacherous story. Just done. Boom. You didn't evn learn how the bad guy died. Just tht he was killed. So tht went flat. But it's ok.

I enjoyed every minute of this book to the point I was sorry for it to end. Arabella and Brodie were wonderful together and the storyline had me totally immersed throughout. Recommend this book highly to all who enjoy a good Highland romance.

This book was ok. It had some suspense and surprises .The plot was easy for me to unravel, the fact that the h gave herself to the H, knowing that he would more than likely not be her husband? Also knowing how brutal her own father could be when crossed? That was a bit much for me to believe. Over all a good read though.

I enjoyed reading this book. I had my favorite but didn't know how it was going to turn out. The way he kidnapped the bride was gutsy for one and how it all played out, wow. Being of nobility she did learn how the other half lived and the amazing thing was how she adapted. Loved the book!

Majority of this story and plot is just repetitive. By chapter 15, I gave up. Not exactly what I was expecting from TB.
