Very fresh writing! I loved the way the author does the short story form. I have read other books by her and was so pleased.

I fell in love with Gilbert's writing from Eat, Pray, Love. This compilation of short stories did not disappoint. I had to stop between each story and rest a bit before starting the next because my brain would not let the previous story go.

Strange. Quirky. Wonderful!! Gilbert is the BEST! These shorts are each intriguing, many leave you hanging, saying "But...!" "But..." And I loved that unresolved feeling (pretty soon, or at least, eventually 😀).

I'm not fond of short stories....I liked some better than others. She is a good writer and I bought after reading Eat, Pray, Love that I liked and really liked The Signature of Everything. In Signature she brought situations that we find rarely even tho they were situations we could relate in some way to.

The book is in good condition, It is an excellent collection of short stories. I have read and own, five or six of her books and they are all so good, I read them at least twice, right away.

Quickly: Elizabeth Gilbert is a very smart woman and a very good writer. For me, the story "The Many Things that Denny Brown Did Not Know (Age Fifteen)" was worth the price of the book.

I had loved Eat, Pray, Love and was excited to hear another of Elizabeth Gilbert's creations. I was unable to ge tthrough it. I had loved hearing Elizabeth Gilbert read her novel but the actress who read this was some what abrasive in her tone.

I read this after reading Gilbert's The Signature of All Things and I was disappointed. The book is engaging enough but does not hold a candle to Signature. I struggled to believe that both books were written by the same author. Pilgrim though is an an enjoyable and quick read.
