As other point out, it is very important to understand the purpose of these tiles before you purchase. These are NOT designed to sound-proof rooms but, rather, to deaden space to reduce sound reflection. My home office has laminant floors and a large window. As part of my job, I have to record audio training for new hires. The audio quality has been less than desireable -- my spoken voice sounded like it's coming from inside a mailbox. I realized the cheap mic that integrated into my webcam was partially to blame, so I picked up a good, podcast-qualiy mic. The results were much better but the echo was still quite pronounced. From there, I decided to investigate acoustic treatment for key reflective points in the room. I read that, for most applications, effective dampening requires a combined 30 to 40 percent of the walls and ceiling needed to be covered with acoustical treatment. I picked up 48 tiles of various sizes and went to work.Eight tiles are on the ceiing above my chair, with the rest on the various vertical surfaces surrounding me -- including two large, bi-fold closet doors to my side, and the walls in front and behind me. I also installed a group of tiles on a piece of large, 4' x 4' foam board that I can prop on the window ledge behind to dampen the glass.I was a little nervous about cluttering up my walls with a bunch of industrial-looking tile. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that these really don't look that bad.And what an improvement to the audio characteristics of the room! Even before recording, I knew the installation was successful because I could literally feel the difference around my ears, even in dead silence. Ambient noise like opening and closing doors, rolling my office chair across the floor and setting my coffee cup down on my desk decayed quickly, with no echo. My HR team was amazed at the improved production quality in my recordings.A note on installation -- I wanted to make sure these tiles could be easily removed without damaging paint and drywall. Therefore, the tiles I purchased did NOT have the peel and stick adhesive. Instead, per the advice of others here, I used medium and large Command Strips for picture hanging. These are two-piece strips: one is affixed to the back of the tile and the other to the wall; the two pieces lock together using a very stiff, hook-and-loop fastener. To ensure the tile side of the strip stuck to the tile, I fortified the Command Strip adhesive with a few drops of fabric glue. (I chose Gorilla hot glue sticks because they are highly rated for fabric.) This method worked very well and I thank the reviewer who shared it. Make sure you watch that reviewer's quick video.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted, better than cheaper one
Reviewed in the United States on February 29, 2024
I ordered the black, white, and light great of this brand and they were all very even. I ordered the darker gray in another brand and I was very disappointed in those. Super fun for styling. I only cut one and I wish I ordered more to finish all the edges because it was surprisingly very easy to cut with an exacto knife. The room is a lot less “echoey” and super cute!! Even my husband was happy in the end, albeit extremely skeptical when I started. Used the 3M foam tape, and very very very small pieces to add to the wall in each corner. I was able to carefully move the panels if needed and they’ve hung for a few weeks now. I would not recommend the ones with a full sticky backing!

4.0 out of 5 stars Really good product, wears out.
Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2024
I really love the design and how it is, they have made my room a little quieter but they are more for asthetics. Only problem is, they apparently fade out over time, I originally bought a pack in 2021 and I just bought 2 more packs as of Jan 2024, the change is drastic, the older ones have lost the dark color.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a room update!
Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2023
I’m impressed with these panels! They were easy to use to add a large graphic design on the walls. I used 1.25” dressmaker pins and lightly hammered them through the panel and into the drywall. When we eventually remove these, a small pin hole will be the only damage. I used 1 or 2 pins per panel.
I ordered white, light gray, dark gray and red for the design.
