Love the Dawn Of War series it is a pity that we more than likely won't ever get to see anymore after this one as it wasn't well recieved by some of the toxic fanbase. Yes this wasn't as good as the last games for gameplay and the style it is played, it is however way above them in the graphics and sound department. I liked the campaign it isn't the best but still enjoyable in some areas of the story and certainly more enjoyable than some of the latest RTS type games. 8/10
It's a good game if you give it a chance, but in no way is it the best strategy game out there. The good thing about this new addition is that base building is now a little more centre stage compared to the previous DoW II and so I felt like I had a little more control to manage my armies and try to find more resources to add additional upgrades to the units. This time in the campaign you have to play all three races, Space Marines, Orks and Eldars, where each mission in the campaign focus on one faction at a time. But I actually really liked that since in the past I always ended up playing Space Marines and this time I had to play all three in order to complete the campaign and it was actually fun learning about the differences between all three factions. The last campaign brings all three factions together in a massive stand off again a much eviller entity and so it's your own interest to learn more about each faction. It's a great experience and now that it is on discount, you should definitively buy it!
Great gameplay especially with recent patch giving total annialation mode for skirmish, so you can properly build a base with defensive turrets and turtle all you like :))) Single player campaign is good and well thought out. As usual with Dawn of War games, Casual or Easy setting is not easy at all, so you got to just get stuck in and deal with it. Shame because an ultra easy mode would be best for learning how best to play the different units etc...and get to see the full tech trees come to fruition with out getting your ass kicked too early.
