Powerful, fast, plus the 17" screen that I wanted for editing photographs. This is a beast of a laptop that has them all.
For sure, this is not a small, light laptop. Instead, if you want something that is mobile to get a ton of work done while on the go, in front of the tv, outside, or anywhere not at a desk, then this is a great machine.
My previous laptop was getting old, and the screen was pre-LED and I suffered through it for a while before pulling the trigger on something new. the old laptop had a quad-core AMD, and took 10-15 mins to stitch my largest images together in photoshop. The new one is doing the same in less than a minute and a half.
Wonderful.

The speakers are pretty good for a laptop. The performance fan can be loud, but you can toggle it on and off, and since it blows down to your legs it is doubly helpful.The backlit keys, solid state drive for fast bootups and instant accessibility, full sized keyboard... all excellent features.

There are few cons so far, but probably the most annoying is the touchpad is just not as responsive as some. The black finish on this also shows a lot of the oils from your hands... which is just an OCD thing where I want it to shine.

This is a highly recommended laptop in my book.

Everybody recommended me this laptop; when it arrives the touchpad looked used and wear outed... a few moths later it starts to restart on loop...I've make it check by some professionals and the trouble is the motherboard it doesn't have a solution and they told me the BIOS is blocked that usually happens when a laptop is stolen. I have now had this laptop for 7 months, so I believe I can give an honest review. I don't use it for gaming. I use it for daily functions, internet, shopping, streaming and so on. The main function is running my business, inventory, Quickbooks, 12 camera home security system, four monitors, 25 mining rigs and it does it flawlessly. The cooling fans work very well. No disc drive - fail. Price - fail. Weight - fail, it's heavy... Very heavy. For gaming, would assume this Laptop will work just fine. Hardcore gaming...???

I bought this laptop based on reviews. I work with graphics programs (mainly CorelDraw), so I tend to like gaming computers for the better graphics ability. The price of this was great for a gaming computer, and Lenovo has been a brand highly recommended to me, so I thought I was getting a deal. I have not been pleased at all! From the first week of having it, the screen will randomly go black...the only way to fix it is to completely shut the computer off and restart. I've tried going through Lenovo support, and they've given me updates to "fix" the problem, which they don't fix anything. On top of the screen issue, this computer is SLOW!!! Only running one program (CorelDraw), it lags so bad! I've put up with this for almost 2 months now and I'm seriously considering returning it.
