Good value.
5 Stars
Good value.
I work as a handyman. In 2013, while on a borrowed A-Frame ladder, one leg collapsed like a crushed beer can. I was lucky to walk away with some scrapes and bruises. I purchased the biggest, baddest ladder I could find. A Little Giant Extreme. Last November, we used that to hang the 50 LB+, picture in the attached image. It was one of my most difficult hangs to date. The stairway splits, so it was hard to center the ladder on the wall. And difficult to get high enough. I placed the anchors. My assistant, a younger, stronger, taller person, lifted the Painting, and with help from the side, we got it hung. It took a long time. But that job, and some other difficult jobs, convinced me to add a telescoping ladder to my inventory.I purchased this Ohuhu back in March, and was waiting to write my review. That client with the difficult "hang" was transferred. So the heavy picture had to come down.I went in with this Telescoping Ladder from Ohuhu [today, June 07, 2018], and bing-bang-boom. Job was done in 10 minutes. I have a little bit of ladder PTSD. If I am on a job site with a lot of ladders, and I have to climb a shaky ladder (other than my LG) ....I can get a slight panic attack, because of the fall in 2013.So, this thing, leaning against a wall, does not feel as stable as an LG in the A-Frame configuration. But I got the job done, without a helper, just some help from the client. Any time I use the LG on a staircase, I always bring a helper, it is cumbersome to set up.Being able to carry in a ladder that is lighter than a lot of my tool cases, and quite small when collapsed, is really nice. I estimate it saved me a good hour+ of time on today's job.I have learned some painful lessons about buying cheap tools. When I bought this, it was under $100. But it had that Amazon Best Seller status, so I decided to gamble and purchase. I am glad I did. I have used it here and there for jobs. And yeah, on a telescoping ladder, you really do want those rubber bumpers that protect your fingers from getting crushed. If I buy more telescoping ladders and/or bigger ones, I will try to make sure the new ladder has that feature.
