Bought this because I needed sturdy dowels for a custom 2 tiered cake that I knew would be unstable using straws (which is what I normally use) These dowels worked perfectly in the cake. It is hard to cut with just kitchen scissors so I would recommend using a stronger cutting tool but other than that it did its job!
