Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Just got it connected less then a weekend ago. Everything works perfectly fine. My 6 year old is loving the DJ sound effects and can easily call mommy, daddy, his brother, his uncle, up to 5 numbers. Also all 5 can be setup to track the watch's GPS.
Bought this to let my son have a phone at his dads house. The strap is too short for a ten years old. Easy to download and use the app and my phone company only charges me 5.00 a month to have it on my account. Wish this would have worked because I'm not ready to get him a phone yet but he didn't click with it since it didn't fit.
Bought this and all seemed to be well until a week ago (bought this in may) when my sons watch just starting calling me over and over again non stop. I am pretty disappointed in this.
The pros: It works out of the box. No complex setup, no errors, no headaches.
The cons: - It's not really a GPS "tracker" as in it doesn't "track" the location of the device. It just sends back the location upon request. You have to open the app, request the location and you will get it in 10 - 15 secs. I was expecting for the price that it would automatically update the location every 5 to 10 minutes so I could keep track of where my son has been. Huge disappointment. - The screen is too big and bulky and it has no practical use. It doesn't even tell the time! Some people might see it as an advantage because it won't distract the kid, not me. If my son is wearing a bulky square piece of plastic in his wrist I would like for him to at least give it some use. - The location functions are unforgivable limited. You can receive warnings if the kid leaves a certain areas, but it's limited to a time interval of 2 hours maximum. If you would like to know, for example, if your kid is not in school during the day... guess what, you can't. You can get the location automatically at specific times, but you can only program 10 updates during a day.
The worst part is... it all comes down to greed. There's not a single valid technological reason for the missing functionality. It's just Verizon trying to maximize their revenue. Hopefully the competition will make them improve their product, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
