Words great! I actually have a 9' tree that we had to cut down at the base because it was too tall for our new home. After we cut the base down, it would not properly fit in the stand it came with. We ordered this to give it a try and it works perfectly! It's quiet and spins our tree perfectly. We get compliments on it all the time and you can see it slowly rotating from the street witch adds a little extra sparkle.

 This video is the rotating tree stand in action. There is no narration, nor description of the product. Just the rotating tree stand doing what rotating tree stands do best.

I wanted this to support my Fairyland aluminum Christmas tree, which has about a 3/4 inch diameter central dowel. The dowel fit perfectly into the bottom of the tree-holding cup, but the top of the cup was rather loose. I solved the problem by winding masking tape at the correct height until it was wide enough (about 1.25 inches, I didn't measure it) to make a tight fit.

I'm not using the power plug to the tree, but it's there should I need lights or a mechanical device on the tree itself. The on/off switch is at the base of the stand, rather inaccessible, so I just leave it on and plug or unplug the extension cord powering both the tree stand and the color wheel.

The base can rotate either direction, but I haven't played with controlling the direction. Maybe a slight force on one direction will cause the tree to turn in that direction. The rotation is not smooth, but is a bit jerky. See my video to see the rotation (which includes this Amazon item:  Multi-Color E27 LED Light Bulb with Remote ).

The motor is very quiet, much quieter than the motor in my color wheel.

The legs come off for repacking onto the box for storage. NOTE: Be careful touching the top when you take your tree down; some thick grease will leak out of the top as it operates.

I am very happy with this purchase. Our tree "trunk" was too narrow and didn't fit the opening (was loose). Good Old Duct Tape fixed the problem just fine! I gradually wrapped my tree trunk until I got the fitting just right... solid and straight but not too much or it didn't fit. And, don't tape all the way at the bottom, a couple inches up.

When you flip the switch off and then on again, sometimes the tree will go in the opposite direction. Not all the time, but a few flips on and off will change the direction! (Not mentioned in the description.)

Really nice to be able to use the full tree to display ornaments.

Works great and for the price... the duct tape fitting was no biggie to do.

Just ordered two more for other trees.

The stand had no apparent problems rotating a fully loaded 7.5 foot tree. Three concerns--first, because the tree's mast is simply set into the stand and is not secured in any way, the tree can move from side to side just a bit too much for my comfort. Second, when you turn on the rotator, you can never be sure in which direction the tree will rotate--there is no apparent pattern. The biggest flaw, however, is the fact that if you want to turn the lights on without the rotator, you have to squirm under the tree to click the power switch. Same if you want to turn the rotator back on. So this stand badly needs a control that can be operated without going way under the tree. The big round rotating stands are better in every respect, but they do cost about three times as much. If you only plan to use rotation to ease the decorating process, this stand may be all you need.

Tree rotator works well. The only problem is that the shaft of my tree is smaller than the hole in the rotator so tree wobbled. They give you one adapter with it but it did not fit my tree shaft. I made my own adapter to fit my tree and it works right now. Providing several sizes of tree shaft adaptors would make it easier to work on all size trees.

 I love this spinning tree stand. We used it for our 7' tree and had no issues. It seems very well build and the plastic is nice and thick. I love that the rotation can go clockwise and counter-clockwise. It would be cool if it had a remote so you didn't have to climb underneath the tree to turn it on/off. Some reviews said it span too fast but I didn't feel that way at all. It made my lights look like they were sparkling. Worth the price! Totally changed the way my tree looked.
