The jump from 144hz to 240hz isn't that large of a transition, but the difference is noticeable. Especially if you're playing competitively and pushing as many frames as you can get, it's very obvious how much smoother the picture is (and I get less screen tearing at high fps, ymmv). No real or noticable input lag, after using Nvidia Boost and their testing software.
Overall I'm very pleased with it, and the XF250Q is now my primary monitor for the foreseeable future, with my XFA240 serving as a secondary.
Enter the Acer XF250Q! A 240 hz, 1 millisecond response monitor for less than 300. It looks great on pretty much every thing I try on it. It makes 60 hz monitors FEEL like 30 hz whenever I look back in hindsight or have to use 60 hz.
The zero frame makes this monitor almost have no border at all. The on screen cross-hairs option can be added with 3 different cross-hairs. Very sturdy and attractive base, well thought out menu with options. And with G-sync for less than 300 dollars? Ding DIng Ding I think Acer has a winner here!
I kinda missed out on the 144hz monitors so I can't honestly comment on the perceived difference of this 240 hz to those. But I can tell you it feels buttery smooth compared to 60 hz. I would like also to suggest this is teamed with an EVGA Nu Audio 32 bit 384 khz sound card for an even better and smoother over gaming experience.

Cons:
Got a defective unit that was amended by Amazon
No HDR
Color accuracy could be better, but it's a gaming monitor so it's expected
My first unit came with dead pixels, I returned it through Amazon (Amazon has great customer service) and my new unit had only minor screen bleeding on the bottom of the screen. Not a problem for me, but may irritate others. I've had good experiences with Acer in the past so getting a defective unit as I did was a small surprise.
If you're in the market for a 240hz monitor this is the one to get without breaking your bank.

Every time I open a game in full screen the monitor constantly black screens until I unplug the cable and plug it back in. Many other people are having this problem. I have switched the cable 3 times to Displayport 1.4 Certified cables and have tried multiple drivers on my Nvidia GPU and neither stopped the problem.
EDIT: Called support about this issue and within the hour I got a shipping label and shipped it off to Acer's Repair Center. They could not duplicate the issue I was having and still replaced the mainboard which is already a 10/10 on customer support for me. I got it back within a week's time of shipping and everything works 100% now.
Cómo detalle en la parte baja del monitor cuando está totalmente el color en negro se ve un leve titileo blanco, no es molesto (cuando menos para mí), pero está ahí
No complaints whatsoever about this one: I like how you can use it horizontal or vertical. Would be a good option for a dual-monitor set up.
I'm also seeing some reviews from people claiming this isn't a 240hz monitor- you aren't setting it up correctly. You have to go in the display settings. It took me some figuring out, too, but I assure you, this IS a 240hz monitor.
