Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The Air Series AF120 fans let you have it all. Nine ultra-thin, custom-molded blades push ample air volume. Rubber corners dramatically reduce vibration. The advanced hydraulic bearing system is quiet and reliable, and you can customize the look with the three included colored rings.

The ultra-thin blades are custom-molded for high-volume air delivery with low noise, while rubber corners reduce vibration and noise.
High Airflow for Efficient Large-Volume Cooling

Air Series AF fan models perform best in unrestricted spaces with at least 3cm of clearance, and they’re ideal for mounting at the rear or top of your PC case as exhaust fans for your PC’s motherboard and CPU, graphics accelerators, and other components that fill the case with heat. They work equally well as unrestricted intake fans for areas like side panels or bottom intakes.

For high restriction areas like hard drive cages or in other tight spaces where there’s less air volume, check out our Air Series SP models of high static pressure fans.

Fantastic fans for a radiator!
4 Stars
Fantastic fans for a radiator!
I bought the twin pack of the Corsair SP120 fans for my water cooled rig. I have an XSPC Raystorm rs360 water cooling kit with an added on Enzotech MST88 waterblock on my MOSFETs. My CPU is an overclocked AMD FX8350 @5Ghz at 1.5V. I've been researching fans for months. Finally I watched a couple videos on YouTube as well as some spec charts and decided to pick these up. The price is a bit steep, but these fans were worth it. They are what they say they are - high performance, static pressure fans. And they performance how I hoped they would perform! On idle with the fan speed turned town, the move more air than my stock XSPC Xinrulian 1650RPM fans. On full speed, my PC runs (on idle) at room temperature overclocked (which I've never seen with this CPU!). On Max load, I've seen a 5-10 celcius temperature drop. These thing really move air!I replaced two fans on my radiator. One fan remaining is one of the stock fans and on top I have a 2,000RPM Antec LED fan to help with the "push pull" method. I feel these two fans are powerful enough without replacing them all (although I would love to change them all if the price wasn't so much). Packaging was great. Frustration free box that easily slides out of the packaging. The color options are nice although a black band would have been nice for those who don't like any color at all. Some cons and why I docked a star. First off, without a fan controller, these things are noisy. On max they are a bit on the noisy side. This was to be expected but at mid range RPM, I also noticed since installing these a mild rattling sound. I think it might be positioning/mounting, but if it keeps it up I may have to RMA one of the fans (which honestly is a huge inconvenience/drag moving around and taking apart my massive PC). On very low RPM and full speed I do not notice the noise, however, and other than that the sound dampening edges are awesome and of high quality. Second, the cables - although nice and black, are somewhat short in length, and I wouldn't complain if they weren't just a few inches longer. I have the space but for others this might be a problem if trying to plug one end on the underside of a motherboard while trying to maintain good cable management. Lastly the price - I'm sorry but I have to complain $30 bucks for PC fans is alot. Even though this seems a better deal than the competition it's still alot to spend on plastic fans.To wrap things up:PROS1) Great quality fans with multiple color choices and sound dampening ends, great packaging2) Fantastic for high performance usage, moves alot of air for radiators3) Double pack is nice and a better deal than other high quality fans out thereCONS1) Mile rattling noise from one fan possibly having to RMA, audible wind on max setting2) short cables3) Steep price, even though a good deal still alot for fansGood tip - I accidentally put these fans in backwards at first. A very "noobish" mistake, but the corsair logo should actually face in "inward" position of the fans (so if they are blowing air out of your case, you should see the logo and colored band from the inside). Just be sure to note the fan position and don't pay attention to the color/logo of the fan. It's mean to be seen from inside a windowed case.Overall great purchase, I love these fans. I'm not sure if the rattly noise is something temporary or a bad fan. I'll post an update soon. But other than that the performance has been fantastic and I felt I got what i paid for. I would recommend these over the competition Noctua. In terms of price and aesthetics, these are a bit nicer (especially if you have a windowed case, I'm not a fan of the ugly, brown Noctuas). I've also posted a picture of these in my case.

I've got a pair of these on my Koolance radiator for my water cooling system running in a push configuration. Man these things move some air! Being the high performance edition, these fans are by no means quiet, but for how much air they move, they aren't very loud at all. Even at a slow speed where these become quiet or nearly silent, these still push some air through the rad and keep my system cool.

The aesthetics on these are very nice as well. With the round design, rubber corners, and changeable color rings; these fans are a unique addition to my system. The rubber corners also make the fans a lot quieter than those with similar speeds/airflow thanks to reducing vibrations that are no longer heard through the case.

If you are mounting these fans some distance from your mobo/fan controller then beware of the short cables. I haven't actually measured how long they are, but they are in the 12-16" long range which will limit installation places for many people with larger cases without an extension. It is nice, however, that two voltage step-down adapters are included in the package to drop the voltage down to 7v being fed to your fans. Those adapters are very useful for those who don't have any other means of slowing the fans down to a much quieter listening level. Also, the standard molex to 3-pin adapters are included for those who have no fan headers available.

Overall, these are some great fans at a great price. They aren't bland and boring like most other standard square fans out there and can add really nice, functional touch to your system. If you are using these for a large heatsink or water cooling radiator, then you picked a great choice. For the price, aesthetics, and performance, I would buy again!

I replaced two Cooler Master Excalibur on my Corsair H100 radiator with two of these Corsair SP120 PWM fans. What a difference! I immediately saw a drop in temps with zero noise and at half the RPMs of my older fans. As another reviewer said, the whole "static pressure" thing is a big deal, these fans are made to push air through a radiator (or case grill, etc) and do make a big difference.

I'm using the FanExpert PWM profiles from my ASUS motherboard to modulate the speed, so I cannot comment on compatibility with the H100 fan controller. At 20% PWM, the fans idle at ~420 RPM, my CPU is at 24C (ambient temp is 21C) and there is absolutely zero fan noise. At 100% PWM, the fans run at ~1370 RPM, with a very slight hum if you pay close attention, not something you would notice if you are playing a game for example.

In my testing, there is almost no difference (less than 1-2C) in temps between 50% PWM and 100% PWM under load. So for H100 applications, if you value silence, you do not need to go to the Performance Edition of this fan IMO, this Quiet Edition is more than sufficient. The extra RPM will not have much of an effect.

And as for the other reviewer that said that these fans are "pretty loud when they ramp up to the full 2300+ RPM", he is mistaken because these fans do not go above ~1450 RPM, he must be referring to the "Performance Edition" of these fans.

I'm now a believer in these high static pressure fans. I just wish they made some 140mm with PWM for use in my case. Common Corsair!

Pros:
- ultra quiet, silent at idle
- excellent fan for the Corsair H100 (or probably any) radiator
- no whining or bearing noise when used horizontally like the original stock Corsair fans that came with the H100
- removable color ring is a nice touch to match the interior of your case
- rubber corners are great for anti-vibration

Cons:
- only comes with standard case screws, you need to supply your own radiator screws
- you have to be careful with the rubber corners when screwing it in, you can easily over tighten and warp the corners

tl;dr powerful enough to cool a 980ti at max load and unnoticeable while doing so

Everyone: these are super quiet. If you want to quiet down your PC, replace the stock fans with these

I bought one of these to replace the radiator fan that came with my 980ti Hybrid. That and the stock case fans were the cause of most of the noise in my PC. Now, all I hear are the pumps from the two closed loop systems in there. I really can't hear this fan under normal conditions. However, if I'm not doing anything I can hear a clicky noise coming from the fan motor, but its so low I don't notice it when I'm doing something. The temps are still good, too. After an hour of BF4 with gpu load at 99% it never got over 60C. In fact it was sitting at 55C, which is pretty much the same as what the stock fan was doing. But, I can't emphasize this enough: these fans are quiet. The included colored rings are welcome, too. You can have blue, red, white, and black if you remove it. My only complaints are the clicky fan motor (almost inaudible) and the grey rubber used to dampen vibrations. Black would be ideal. My NZXT fans, which are also quiet and reasonably priced, have black rubber vibration dampers, so it can be done.

Overall, great fan. When I want to do a custom water cooling loop in the distant future I'll be using these fans. They look good, cool well, and run quiet. I mean, one 120mm low rpm version is sufficient to cool a 980ti at maximum load, what more could I ask for? Would buy again and highly recommend.

I do need to get some sleeved cables for the PCI power cables, and then my rig will be ready for the camera

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty, efficient and quiet

I got the package on time, and the fans are spectacular (high static pressure quiet edition). Got this amazing Warehouse deal at 20 dollars for these fans with "a minor aesthetic imperfection at the top" which, at the time of arrival, I couldn't even find. These funs work really well and they move a lot of air, they got ridiculously low amps (at 0.08 which means) you can hook up to 9 (maybe even 10) of these fans to a single motherboard fan header which is RIDICULOUS considering these fans are already pretty darn good.

I also personally think these fans are better looking than any rgb fan out there and they provide good customization options with these rings. Colours don't match your scheme? The rings being detachable means its easy to customize by spray painting them.

These are slightly older models but I found them to be a more attractive offer than the newer fans. They're great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sehr guter Luftdruck und trotzdem nicht zu laut
Reviewed in Germany on March 20, 2019
