I have read a few reviews of people reporting issues they have with this mouse, but I have not experienced any.
The DPI is 12k, but I am not sure if it's true 12k, I have read otherwise but this is not verified... To play it safe I would use 6k and lower the cursor speed so it feels more like 2k if you want to go that route.
No glitching at all, and the lights work flawlessly.
Now for the buttons, the 12 buttons on the side feel very nice, clickly and easy to tell apart, I had absolutely no problem getting used to them.
The layout is nice, and although I do have large hands, I find myself setting the side buttons back almost as far as they can go...likely because I am coming from using the Razer Naga Epic which is a slightly smaller, lighter mouse.
Braided cable and USB connector are of great quality, what you would expect from Corsair and I can say that I never used the Naga Epic as a wireless device, so there is no change there for me.
The mouse is slightly on the heavy side, which did take some getting used to, especially when I am playing FPS.. However, You can rais the cursor speed slightly higher than you're used to, which could help a bit.
The surface material is very nice.. Soft and a bit rubbery... its a good rubbery, not a sticky one. If you have any of Corsairs keyboards, it's very similar (if not the same) as the top material they use on their wrist rests.
as mentioned earlier, The tactile feedback is very nice on the buttons as well as the surface material and the size variation. I find that I make fewer mistakes than I did with the Razer Naga, even though I had been using those mice for years.
The software is fantastic. it pretty much allows you to do anything you want. I had no problem learning the software to create effects on my k70, but I can say it's not the most friendly UI, especially for people who don't have THAT much experience using intricate programs with it being mostly a 'text based' UI.
The mouse is far easier to program the colors, but there are also also far fewer options, the 12 macro keys on the side can only be adjusted as one color for all 12 keys.
Although I probably would have preferred it without, the yellow coloring on the side doesn't really bother me at all. It really isn't that noticeable, especially when you're using the mouse in a dim lit room. Between the lights on the 12 macro keys and the bright light on the DPI indicator, you'll hardly notice it's there.
Love it or Hate it, I find that this mouse is perfect for me. However, I can see how people may not feel the same way. There are SO many options out there and it can be really hard to find the right mouse for you. If you have the chance to get to best buy or better yet, a privately owned computer store that sells these products, you can find some peripherals on display and test the feeling to see what suits your needs.
QUICK RECAP:
Great for people with large hands.
Quite a bit heavier feeling than Naga.
Nice tactile feedback on macro keys.
Lighting works flawlessly, no "flickering" in 16.8 million color mode.
matches my K70 perfectly, although it would probably look best next to an RGB Strafe. (because they both have the glowing new sails logo)
The optical sensor works flawlessly for me at 6000 dpi with cursor speed turned down.
Great buy if you are looking for a great mouse for MOBA and MMO gaming, although it may be a bit too heavy for some FPS players, I find It works fine as long as you like a heavy mouse.
Sleek design and great feeling on surface.
(wish it came with a corsair 'badge', I love badges)
I hope this review helps with your decision.

I hope this review helps with your decision.
Started having disconnects at random intervals after 13 months. Which sometimes just disconnects for a couple of secons then reconnects. Usually I need to replug to the usb port for it to get connected. This problem happens on both usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports (as I tried different ports of each type).
It is a good mouse which feels really nice. It might feel awkward if you are not used to these type of shape design. Button quality is high, lightning is not as good as M65 RGB Pro but it still is good compared to other RGB mouses. It is a heavy and a big mouse, which is ideal for moba and mmorpg in my opinion. But it certainly is not good as a fps mouse, so I bought a M65 RGB Pro for that. It is also good but i expected it to be bigger like scimitar, it feels smaller (my hands are big XXL Gill sailors' gloves big).
Updated CUE is easier (still not Razer easy, but I have no problem there) to use, so assigning a function to a button is easy as long as you know what you are doing. But you can learn how to use it in a short time.
Sensor is lovely, I advise you to switch lift height to low, or it can still sense while hovering on more than 0.5 cm. Cord material is sturdy, even after months of usage, it still is not a straight line.
Adjustable 12 buttons are quite well designed and you can tell which button you are touching thanks to it's texture.
Scimitar does NOT have a LOCAL MEMORY, Pro does. Which means it does not store any data or profile. It stays at the last solid lightning it has when computer is locked, effects won't work as CUE can't access it when your computer is locked. CUE has to run if you are going to use any macros or profiles you have created. It won't give any input if CUE is not working except for left, right click and scroll wheel (standard keys). Also scroll wheel does not scroll to right or left side and it can only be pressed down.
It is a really good mouse that deserved it's price at the release with being a unique engineering design and having good looks and lightning. As it needs better lightning now.
A friendly advice: If you are not using more than 4-5 macros on a daily basis to get your job done, there really is no point in buying this mouse. I rarely use more than 3 macro buttons in games expect for a few mmorpg as most new ones have this terrible (in my opinion) tera style combat, but these 12 buttons helps a lot with controlling VLC player as I am using 9 macro buttons as shortcuts to everything. Again if you don't plan to use many buttons, there is no point of using this. Look for a simpler mouse that will get your job done and don't pay extra for buttons that you will not use.

El cable se ve de buena calidad, baste recubierto con tejido. y la rueda con buena superfice rugosa para evitar que se atore y resbale el dedo con el scroll (problema que me molestaba con el G402)
The #1 button at the bottom forward corner of the number pad is very close to the mouse pad, and you will not be able to properly use it without making contact with your thumb on the mouse pad. If you're using it every second while moving the mouse quickly, it will be a nuisance. The rest of the buttons have no issues, and the quality if top-notch — solid and durable.
The weight of the mouse is very comfortable, and the right-side rests have a good grip. I found that the sensor registers a bit too high off the pad, but there is a setting to somewhat reduce this to be reasonable. The Corsair software offers a nice variety of options for bindings, macros, and even the needless lighting.
Before purchasing, my concern was if I would be able to life it quickly and easily without pressing buttons, and thankfully this is not an issue. You can apply pressure to the left and right with your thumb and pinky or ring finger, and the buttons will not be pressed unless you use excessive force. The size of the mouse is for large or medium, and the thumb button pad's slider does allow you to have ease of access to the buttons with varying mouse grip types.
If you're moving to this from a mouse with fewer thumb buttons, you will need to adjust due to the size of the thumb pad, but to have it smaller would make it difficult. I moved from the Razer Naga Hex, where I was able to rest my thumb in the middle and simply pivot to the buttons, and I was a bit dismayed at having to actually move my thumb, but it is worth it for the additional buttons.
I found no other issues, so enjoy slaying noobs with this!
