ROLL Roll ear plug slowly with thumb and fingers. Gradually increase pressure to compress plug to a very thin, crease-free cylinder.	INSERT Reach around your head with opposite hand to pull ear outward and upward, then insert compressed ear plug well into ear canal.	CHECK FIT Check fit after ear plug expands in ear. Touch ear plug. You should feel only the end of ear plug. Listen to steady loud noise with ear plugs in both ears. Cover ears with tightly cupped hands. Noise should sound about the same whether or not ears are covered.	IMPROPER FIT If you feel most of ear plug outside the ear canal, remove ear plug and repeat fitting. If you cannot obtain a good fit, try a different size or type of hearing protector.

More than 40 years ago this simple hearing protector, the world’s first foam ear plug, revolutionized hearing protection in the workplace and has remained to this day one of the most widely used earplugs in the world. The 3M E-A-R Classic Earplugs are constructed from slow-recovery, low-pressure foam. They fit snugly to create a noise barrier that helps protect hearing from loud sounds. These ear plugs are stiff enough when compressed to make fitting easy, yet soft enough to be comfortable in the ear for extended wear. Bright yellow color allows supervisors to conduct quick visual hearing protection compliance checks. Recommended applications include chipping, chiseling, drilling, furnace operations, grinding, heavy equipment operations, machining, pouring/casting, power fastening, riveting, sanding, sawing and welding. These earplugs are commonly used in the following industries: agriculture, automotive, chemicals, construction, general manufacturing, healthcare, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals. These regular size earplugs comfortably fit most people. These ear plugs have a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 29 dB, CSA Class AL. These earplugs are test compatible with the 3M E-A-Rfit Validation System. Moisture resistance helps maintain a consistent expansion time, even when humidity is present. Flame resistance helps protect against potential arc flash situations and provides for safer storage. Not only is noise present in our daily routines and recreational activities, but millions of Americans work in hazardous noise on a daily basis. Estimates from the National Institutes of Health suggest that hearing loss afflicts 28 million Americans. About one third of those cases are at least partially attributable to noise. Hearing loss due to noise is almost entirely preventable by judicious use of hearing protection. These ear stopples work very well for keeping out sound. I sleep very lightly, and if a person dropped a pin I would wake up. So, this is probably the 10th year I have been using these to keep noise out. They are very comfortable and easy to get in and out of your ear canal. A box of 30 last a long time because you can reuse these at least 30 times before they lose their ability to keep noise out. Also, they are large enough so they won't go through your ear canal. Years ago I tried others, but I found that these are the best to use and the price is very good if you at least get the 30 box size.

I am so happy to have found a replacement for the Flents Quiet Please earplugs. Flents have changed the foam and do not block sound or stay in the ear. The 3M works like a charm. These ear plugs work very well. They are great at keeping out noises like snoring and even dog barking. They are made slightly differently than others on the market - they have some sort of coating which makes them easier on the ear canal and less likely to hurt during the night. The other earplugs on the market create a vacuum which can be painful - these do not.

Because I had to order a larger amount (30 pairs) at one time, I decided to give one or two pairs each to friends, and they were thrilled! Have used the 3M disposable ear plugs for years and they are still my favorites over other shapes and degrees of "squish" . Good sound deadening, comfortable, high visibility, inexpensive when buying 30 at a time. I have tinnitus and don't want any further damage so use these with lawn mower or other loud equipment. Should have worn them when seeing "Oppenheimer" but did not have a pair with me.

Individual pillow packs do not show a dB rating but the 3M website shows the NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) at 29 on the scale from 1 to 30 -- 30 being highest reduction. Attenuation in dBs varies with frequency - generally around 42 dB . I used to drive large commercial vehicles and earplugs deadened the and made for a quieter, more comfortable 11 hour driving day.

Pour avoir longtemps travaillé dans l'industrie et avoir essayé maints modèles, je peux attester ici que ce produit est de loin le meilleur du marché. Simple et efficace, il fait mieux que les meilleurs casques antibruits. Pour avoir mieux il faut ensuite adopter des bouchons créés sur mesure chez un orthophoniste. Avec une débroussailleuse par exemple, dont le niveau sonore est proportionnel à l'efficacité, la protection sonore est nettement supérieur au casque Stihl, qui me semblait pourtant une référence en la matière. Ces bouchons sont aussi totalement adaptés au tir en salle ou en extérieur. Bref, ils font leur job à merveille en laissant malgré tout filtrer certaines fréquences puisqu'on peut tout en les portant arriver encore à entendre les voix de l'entourage, bien que parfois très feutrés...

Le seul petit reproche serait peut-être que ces bouchons sont salissant ; d’où l'intérêt d'en avoir quelques paires d'avance.
