Customers are mixed about the grip of the bicycle pedals. Some mention that the platforms have decent grip when they're not clipped in, while others complain that the flat side is slippery. and while looking I kept reading about clipless pedals and how they're better than regular pedals

and while looking I kept reading about clipless pedals and how they're better than regular pedals
OK, so I came here only to find some replacement pedals for my hybrid(Trek DualSport 8.2) nothing special, and while looking I kept reading about clipless pedals and how they're better than regular pedals. Me being as curious as I am and a huge fan of my bike and cycling in general, I researched immediately and decided right away this was the way to go. After receiving these along with the matching Shimano shoes, I will never go back. While certainly not the most high end clipless pedals around, these are absolutely perfect for my cycling mission: fitness and function, and at that mission these are perfect. And since I do ride a hybrid at the moment, the dual function of these pedals matches the bike perfectly. Now, people, before riding any kind of distance whatsoever, PRACTICE clipping and un clipping. Since these came with the needed cleats, I was ready to practice as soon as I mounted the pedals, which only took about 5 minutes. The included cleats are the single release, not the multiple release as recommended for beginners. But since I like difficult tasks I didn't bother with the multiple release cleats. I found it easier to unclip than to clip in at first, but once you learn the technique, it really does become second nature. My only complaints have to do with my lack of cycling tools versus anything wrong with these pedals. For ease of installation, make sure you have a good set of METRIC Allen keys and make sure to grease the thread before install and you should be good to go. This is one of the best purchases you'll make for your bike and going clipless is definitely the way to go!
