Ella maximizes the sound of your music with advanced planar magnetic drivers, a built-in audiophile amplifier and large, high-capacity cabinets. And the revolutionary ergonomic fit ensures optimal sound isolation and comfort for the most immersive listening experiences. From the manufacturer

Experience Detailed, Maximum-Impact Sound

The Planar Magnetic Headphone with a Twist

Superior Sound, Planar and Simple

Pour yourself a drink, and prepare to rediscover your favorite records, because you’ve never heard a headphone like this before. Here’s the twist, Ella combines Blue’s planar magnetic technology with an onboard audiophile amp and large, high-capacity cabinets to deliver the perfect artisanal blend of accuracy and impact. The 50mm x 50mm drivers utilize a double sided, opposed push-pull magnet structure that’s self-tensioned for fast response and extreme accuracy. The onboard amp provides ultra-clean dynamics, while the massive cabinets ensure a rich and extended soundstage. Ella brings out so many new details—it’s like hearing your favorite music for the first time again.

Built-in Audiophile Amp

For decades, getting a high-fidelity headphone experience meant tethering passive audiophile headphones to a bulky outboard amp. Not anymore. Ella is the first headphone to offer planar magnetic sound quality with the convenience of a built-in 250mW audiophile amp. The amp pairs beautifully with Blue’s custom matched drivers to deliver crystal-clear audio on all your devices.

Three All-Analog Amp Modes

Anyway You Want It

Ella lets you personalize your listening experience with three amp modes. No DSP tricks here—this is all analog. Switch between modes to accent the sonic character of your music and get the full Blue headphones treatment.

  • On: Incredibly clean sound with increased power and headroom that reveals every detail of your music.
  • On+: Adds a slight bump for restoring low-end character to vinyl-era music—as in, wait until you really hear Paul’s bass parts on Sgt. Pepper.
  • Off: Deactivates the built-in amplifier, allowing you to connect to high-performance AV gear or just listen without a battery charge.

The Better the Fit, the Better the Sound

With Ella, Blue threw away the rulebook and completely reimagined what headphones should look and sound like. Everything from the multi-jointed design to the earcups delivers revolutionary form and functionality. You’ll feel—and hear—the difference instantly.

Reinvented Headband Construction

Ordinary headphones have the same old 'spring loaded' headband that you’ve seen a zillion times. Lucky for you Ella is no ordinary headphone. Ella’s unique multi-jointed headband was inspired by the finely tuned suspension of Formula One racecars. It’s elegant, comfortable, and adapts to a variety of head shapes and sizes. Simply put, it’s a level of fit and comfort that isn’t even possible with other headphones. This innovative design creates a perfect seal around your ear, resulting in powerful bass response, improved isolation and reduced sound bleed.

Intelligent Power Management

With a smart design that saves big on battery life, Ella is always ready for action. When you take Ella off your head, she automatically powers down to save juice. The battery charges completely in 3-4 hours, and delivers approximately 12 hours of life-changing playtime. But don’t worry—even if the battery runs down, Ella will still keep the music going. You could say these headphones have staying power.

Great sound, horrible pleather pads
Headset/amp/drivers are great, pads wear faster than snow tires on a hot summer day… first set wire out in less than 8 hours use, exchanged and second set started doing the same thing..flaking on edges… I ordered third party replacements… I can’t recommend these without this warning and can’t understand how Logitech can sell them knowing this. Imagine paying original price and being told the ear pads are a wear item…

-------
Vorweg: Die Blue Ella planar magnetischen Kopfhörer klingen unglaublich gut.

Also ziemliches unteres Mittelfeld.
