Stuart Butler pasaba los veranos haciendo surf en las playas del suroeste de Francia, hasta que un día descubrió que estaba tan enganchado a la región que se veía incapaz de abandonarla, y allí sigue.     Growing up, my mom shuttled us between our home in California and her original home in Indiana. By age five I was ordering my family around O'Hare International Airport as we changed planes. Obviously the experience stuck as I've been traveling since. I worked as a journalist for many years, covering everything from wars to bars - obviously I prefer the latter. I've been writing travel guidebooks since the mid-1990s and have worked on over 110. I've covered places from glaciers in the Arctic to the beaches of Bali. From New York City to London to San Francisco to Melbourne. I've lived around the globe.

    In writing my books, I try to be the good local friend every reader wishes they have, telling them both what not to miss and what to definitely miss. I look for places and details that you won't find elsewhere, which will elevate your trip way above the norm. And I try to have fun doing it. Here is what you need to know about Sri Lanka Travel. Always, Always, Always ask for the price of an item before you make the purchase. From tea to dinner, to umbrellas, to hotel stays, to surf board rental, to bus travel to etc. You are a tourist, you must have money, therefore I will take as much as I can from your pocket. And they will, they are very good at it. Respect for that. They are extremely friendly and overly helpful as a nation. Get creative with how you are going to say NO, Thank you, my friend. Food is amazing, people are amazing, the country is filthy with trash everywhere you go. No respect for Mother Earth and the sanctity of this great planet. EXPECT, higher prices than what the book quotes. GO north to see some Elephants!
