I was planning to get the Sfans Adapter at indiegogo but I canceled it for a cheaper alternative. It's works with my ZTE axon 7 quick charger and my ravpower +26800 battery (USB-A Ports ) .. For some reason It doesn't with with the (ravpower smart + charger) but I need a new USB-C to C cord to confirm this. I tested it out at work on a Samsung 4k tv playing pokken DX with a coworker.. we had a blast playing a quick team match. Nothing much else to say, It gets the job done and it's only the adapter..(no hdmi and no plug included)

Despite my initial reluctance to try this adapter because of concerns about it not working (or worse, instantaneously frying my Switch for attempting it), I'm glad that I did. I have gotten it to successfully output to a TV using a 12W iPad charger, an  USB Type C Cable, Anker PowerLine USB C to USB 3.0 Cable (3ft) with 56k Ohm Pull-up Resistor for Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8, S8+, MacBook, Nintendo Switch, Sony XZ, LG V20 G5 G6, HTC 10 and More , and a generic HDMI cable without severe issues. This adapter is perfect for traveling to your family's and friends' homes and playing on the big screen there, or even just setting up your Switch in a second room in your own home.

I typically use the Apple 12W charger to play and recharge while undocked, but I noticed that it is not powerful enough to maintain a full charge while "docked" with this adapter. Over the course of an hour of exploring in Breath of the Wild, the console went from 100% to 90%. The console recharges normally while "docked" and asleep. I tried a similar test with my wife's Apple 29W (MacBook) USB-C PD charger and official cable and it seemed to work fine and maintain an 100% charge. Finally, I briefly tested it with a lower-spec'd generic cable and the aforementioned 12W charger to see what would happen: I believe it must have only been delivering 5W total with that setup but regardless of the technical details, gameplay was noticeably laggy and battery life decreased noticeably faster... but this adapter still output a signal!

All in all, maybe I just got lucky and received an adapter from a good batch, but I'm glad I bit the bullet and decided to try it out!

Here's what I love the most about this, and something that most other docks can't do: It works with typical phone chargers! That's right. I got a Samsung S5 charger (which outputs 5V 1.5A I believe) and I use it all the time with this dock. I've also tried using my Anker powerbank, also works! I'm not sure if _all_ phone chargers work, maybe they need a minimum amperage (like 1.5 or 2A), but it's certainly a lot more flexible than other docks, which require a USB-PD charger that does 15V, which are either hard to find, are too big to put in a carrying case, or both. The nice thing about the samsung charger I use is that I can put it inside the switch carrying case I have. So now I have a fully portable switch that I can plug into any TV whenever I want. It's just excellent.

However this comes with one major caveat: the switch WILL discharge if you use a phone charger like I do. Like, you'll play fine on the TV, but you'll notice the battery level slowly decreasing. However, it's very slow, and as soon as you put the switch to sleep mode, it'll charge back up. Plus this doesn't apply to all games, only to the graphically intensive ones. This is not surprising, after all the switch was always meant to run at 15V (18W) when docked, and you're only delivering 7.5-10W with a typical phone charger.

It's also small and convenient, and has 1 USB port. I could not ask for anything more. I haven't tried it with other devices, but if it works as advertised, that's a bonus!

About the “FastSnail HDMI Type C Hub Adapter for Nintendo Switch, HDMI Converter Dock Cable for Nintendo Switch (Black)” (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074MYLP9C/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AL8GLGFGFKMBO) After Nintendo Switch update 5.0 the product doesn’t work anymore and may break the switch it is used with. This adapter and every other third party dock became incompatible with the switch and because of that they started to brick the systems they are used with.

In my case, An error screen appeared after I updated my switch and connected it to this adapter, it said that I had to restart my switch but after I did that, the console stopped working and won’t show anything else besides the switch logo, even if I wait for hours.

As this adapter won’t work anymore because of the risk of breaking the nintendo switch nobody should ever buy this and also, as it doesn’t work as it said it would I’d like to ask for a refund, or to ask FastSnail to pay for any inconvenience this product may cause to me and to every other switch owner out there, stating the warranty FastSnail placed at the product page that says “If you are not 100% happy with our product for any reason, please contact us. No questions. No charge. No kidding. FastSnail provide 12-Month Worry-Free Warranty and Unconditional 45-Day Refund & Free Lifetime Technical Support.”

I tried to connect my Switch using the TV in my flat and it worked, but when I tried to connect my Switch to the projectors in one of the classrooms in my uni (our club was holding an event and we were supposed to use my Switch for a game of Overcooked), it won't work. Although I think it's more of there's an issue with the projector rather than the adapter since the display in my Switch tablet disappears when I connect it using the adapter (just like when I connected it to the TV), but the screen is not projecting.

I gave it four stars because it arrived later (I think 1-2 days later) than the projected arrival date.
