I keep seeing articles pushed my way with headlines that say fish oil has no known effects on health, or that it’s a placebo.

I’m really skeptical of these articles and the methods used AND the sources funding them because I experience, along with many others, tangible effects with this cod liver oil supplement through consistent use.

Give it a try and see for yourself. My mood, immune function, energy, recovery are all improved and it’s been my very unscientific anecdotal opinion that these little gems assist my body in improving my life. It’s a supplement not a panacea, but it works.

Ignore the ‘ganda and try it to make up your own mind. I’ll continue buying.

I'm testing this product out to see how it works for me.

My sister was at a friend's house and her friend was taking this brand of cod liver oil for her health and she swore by it. She gave my sister some capsels to try. After a week my sister started noticing a big difference in her back pain and hips. Her doc was going to give her a cortisone shot but she told him she didn't need it now that she was on these.

I talked with Sis last week and she told me about these for my severe rheumatioid arthritis, to just try them. So I bought a bottle of the lemon (her and her friend were using the unflavored) and have been taking them a few days now. It feels like a bit of the inflammation may be starting to decrese. My fingers, shoulders, knees, elbows aren't feeling as stiff and swollen...even my spine feels looser instead of so stiff. I've upped to 3 per day, with meals, and will work up to 5 per day.

I've chewed these (at the review of another) and they taste like a lemon gummy without the sugar. Not bad if you can't swallow a large capsul, you can chew it. No fishy taste or smell at all. These don't have a lot of Vitamin A or D to harm your body when you take 5 per day...a big plus!

I'll keep you posted on how well this works for RA inflammation.

ETA: It's been a few weeks now that I've been taking these. It really has knocked down a bit of inflammation. Now I can't tell if only the Cod Liver Oil is working because last week my doc put me on a new anti-inflammatory and it's done more then even the super-powerful meds I've been on for severe RA. I'll continue to take these, it could be the combination.

I started taking this over a month ago. I have severe eczema and have been looking towards major diet and lifestyle changes to manage my condition. I heard of the benefits of Cod liver oil and I decided to try this one as it got very good reviews and some people reported their skin improving drastically after using this product. I take 3 softgels, 3 times a day (total of 9) to "flood" my system with the beneficial oils. I havent seen a dramatic improvement. This may or may not be due to my own system's inability to absorb nutrients though.

I havent noticed any adverse effects of using this product other than a citrus tasting burp every now and again after taking them. My toddler also loves to chew the softgels and the taste is light and lemony. So I give it 4 stars because my kids like it and that's saying something!

I bought this for my mom and myself. After consuming one bottle within roughly 5 months, both of us saw improvements in a variety of areas. For me, it cured my osteoarthritis in my fingers. If I don’t take it for a few days, the arthritis comes back in my fingers. For my mom, it lowered her triglycerides from a high normal to a middle normal (142 to 113), increased her HDL (good cholesterol) from abnormal to low normal (40 to 51) but more importantly it improved her speech because she now has aphasia & apraxia due to a stroke. She started saying more words and more complicated words and short phrases since taking the cod liver oil. There’s also a possibility it raised her vitamin B12 levels to a better number. Prior to taking cod liver oil her B12 level was 386 & after it was 450. I only say it’s a possibility because she’s on Spirulina as well and when she was only on Spirulina her B12 level increased by 20 points. So either the longer she’s been on Spirulina it’s increased more or it increased significantly more when she took cod liver oil.

I bought these to take advantage of the Omega 3s and Vitamin D. I usually scan many online resources to find out about contra-indications and to debunk overrated products. In this case, I've been hearing about cod liver oil since I was a child, a long time ago. I bought a smaller bottle locally and started taking 2 every other day. After about 6 weeks, I noticed that small little bumps on the back of my arms -like a sort of lite acne, had disappeared and the back of my arms are smooth. My fingernails grow very rapidly and thick and I have a general feeling of well-being - provided I'm eating clean, exercising, and going to bed at a reasonable hour.

I recommend this product and I'm extremely skeptical of most things, especially health supplements.
