The ergonomics for me were ok, I’m not used to wearing on ear headphones so after. However, others say that it does get uncomfortable after like a while, and is actively painful to wear. I am so upset that they don't charge more for the quality of product I've gotten here.
(For real, these things are amazing. For the kind which enjoy a more simplistic aesthetic to their headset, strive for comfort, and want depth to their music that isn't really shown by other "gaming" headsets at a comparable price, there is no alternative. This headset has amazing battery life, is comfortable as I've ever had a set of headphones, and is made of a sturdy configuration. The wireless really does reach around 40 feet, but I'd recommend to have the dongle vertical if you can. I also recommend to use iCue's "Bass Boost" EQ setting, as it brings out depth to the music and sounds, surprisingly without sacrificing sound quality to distortion, rattles, clipping, or starving the treble out of it. Definitely worth the buy. Only gripe is about the mic being on the left-hand side and a bit in the way if you want to drink something left-handed, as any gamer would while keeping their hand on the mouse."
Pros: (compared to the Vengeance 2100)
- Better battery life
- Higher fidelity, overall better sound
- Much lighter weight
- Comfortable leather cuffs (2100 had this microfiber that itched my face)
- Materials are sturdier, more use of actual metal in build
- No decals that can fall off
- Mic is highly positionable, even detachable
- Mic scrubs external ambient noises better
Things that are not so great IMO (compared to the 2100):
- Volume knob on 2100 had better feel, easier to find
- Power button is kind of small, it's ok. 2100 had too big of a power button so...
- Mute button, I prefer moving the mic up on the 2100 for muting.
- HS70 is supposed to have slightly better wireless range. However, with the 2100 I was able to talk to my squad from my kitchen, with the HS70 I could not.
- Bass. It's not that it's lacking, it's like the bass hits abruptly, it's rather odd. 2100 had decent overall ambient bass. HS70 will have a lack of bass and then BAM too much bass for certain actions in games. It's weird.
Side note: One of my gaming buddies says I sound rather robotic with this headset. When I tested it, it seemed fine, but I will have to agree, compared to the 2100, the voice quality is lacking a bit BUT the most important thing is that your squad can hear you clearly and the HS70 delivers.
Regardless, these feel and sound great. The pricing is very hard to beat. I am very pleased with this headset and price. They don't feel nor look cheap by any means. Highly recommend these.
Pros:
-Sound Quality 5/5: The sound on these, even arbitrary max volume, is amazing! Listening to music sounds great, they can compare to my audiotechnica MX-50’s. The directional sound in gaming works great and I can really tell which direction sounds are coming from.
-Connection 4.5/5: It holds a very solid connection, both on PC and PS4. I can go a fair amount of distance away; it does start losing the connection when going around walls though, but that’s to be expected.
-Material 5/5: I really like the feel and overall construction of this headset. Feels very luxurious.
Cons:
-Comfort 3/5: I’ve got a bigger than average head and ears. Even I’ve got the headset to the maximum length, I still start feeling uncomfortable after a 1-2 hours. Not pain, but definitely uncomfortable. Same goes for my ears, I can feel them touching the inside of the cups, and this can sometimes hurt, but not always. Unfortunately (for whatever reason), the ear cups are not removable, so I can’t swap them out for larger ones or this would be fixed.
This is not to say the headset isn’t comfortable, because it definitely is at first. It just doesn’t last. Maybe a smaller head would be fine though.
-Durability 3/5: I left this in the front pocket of my back pack with a PS4 in the back pocket, over night. The next morning the headset was warped. I had to bend it back to normal, which I almost got perfectly. It remains ever so slightly bent though.
-PC Connection 4/5: I don’t know if it’s the CUE software or what, but it always takes a bit to start hearing sound and hear “Mic On” when turning the headset on. Sometimes it takes a few seconds, a few rare times up to 15 seconds.
-Mic Quality 2/5: The microphone is clear, but very nasally. However, I do like that it is detachable! The mute button is appreciated too.
Overall, this is a great choice for a headset!
Whether you’re on PC or PS4. Especially if you have an average head size and mic quality is not an issue. Also, I see that it is often on sale for $60-$70. At this price point it’s a steal. I would think twice about spending $100 on it, though.

Me encanta.
Charging and battery life is fine, but I have had the headphones fail to charge a couple of times. I *think* this is because of the USB port I used not having sufficient power (I didn't used the charging-labeled port), but there was no indication that wasn't working. Otherwise, battery life has been enough for a whole day at work, when charged overnight.
Range is fine, and I can wander pretty much anywhere in the office.
I haven't had them long enough to speak about durability, but the construction is partly metal and seems pretty solid.
Great combination of price, comfort, and construction.
