No whitening power
This item has a good taste and my teeth feel clean afterwards.My only concern and reason for 3/5 is because it does not have any whitening power. If anything, my teeth have become more yellow. :(I did not buy it solely for whitening though, only because I needed a toothpaste. But I thought it would keep my teeth white and it did not seem to do so.I don’t smoke, drink coffee, soda or eat candy but once a month. I do have dessert regularly but I don’t believe my diet and lifestyle have anything to do with my teeth yellowing. I believe it’s just regular yellow-ing and because this toothpaste does not help to prevent it.I have not been to a dentist to have a checkup or anything since I’ve been using this toothpaste so it could be doing better or worse than what i am aware of. But I don’t have any cavities or anything, nor have I had sensitive teeth or other issues.Since it does not whiten my teeth, I crack open a capsule pill of activated charcoal, add the same amount of baking soda to a small cup, dip my toothbrush and toothpaste in and brush my teeth with that to help keep them white. It works and I have left over powder for the next brushing.Hope this helps!
