I use them for labelling my SCUBA diving equipment, tools, electronics, etc. and they have remained very visible for many years on all surfaces, including neoprene rubber and coarse nylon fabric bags.
These are a shellac-based paint marker. Markings have been surprisingly durable, but CAN be removed with alcohol. You have to shake well before using AND compress the [solid] wick long enough for the paint to work its way to the tip -- otherwise coverage will be weak. I keep mine well-capped and top-down when not in use and have had no problems with becoming dried out even after a couple of years of non-use (the alcohol solvent used in shellac will dissolve even well-dried shellac paint, which may account for this).
I've used yellow, orange, and white. Both are equally durable, but the white seems to be a bit more opaque, i.e., it covers better, while the yellow and orange tend to appear slightly translucent unless you apply a second coat.
Just today, I cleaned all my other tires that had the faded paint with Windex, which contains ammonia. After just three wipe downs, all dirt was removed, as shown by the lack of dirt on my towel after the final wipe. I also took the time to put two coats on top of the already faded coats on those tires. I think this will hold up this time. This is the fourth time I've gone back over my tires with this same paint.
It takes time to fully learn how to best use paint marker if one has never used one before. The best advice; prime your pen, prime your pen, prime your pen. Prime it every 20 seconds. I do this against the top of the cap. When the dot in the middle of the cap disappears from being filled with paint, you've done enough. It will eventually dry for it to be visible again and do your test again. If it doesn't come out easy or your see felt tip strokes, shake and prime it. Sometimes, no matter how much you do this it will not come out that well. In this case, take out the tip, and switch ends. It will then flow a lot and may even run. Be careful.
I will update this when the results come up in a few days, hopefully with pictures.
Edit: First two pictures are after applying two additional coats to the already faded coat. Last is the difference between them both.

The white is bright when properly primed, and can lay down a nice solid line.
If used on glass you will need to cover it with a clear coat.
I would not shake this pen with the cap off as the tip may come out and leave a pretty upsetting mess.
Would not recommend using on fabric, not only does this just soak into the fabric leaving a very faint line, but the fiber applicator(the tip) likes to come apart slightly and leave strings hanging off the tip. This causes unwanted marks and(scratches).
Over all, 5/5 I love it!
