These are great and worth the price certainly. USB-A is what's on your computer. Maybe 1990's to now. It's relatively large. USB-B (also called micro USB) is on most of your devices. Both of these require that you stick the cord in in one way only - one side facing up, if you will. The USB-C is slightly larger than USB-B and can be plugged in upside down or right side up.
The cords you currently have are PROBABLY USB-A to USB-B. Computer to device or charging to device. It doesn't matter what version of micro USB (USB-B) you have. That's why most people buy these adapters for their new devices. Instead of having to buy new cords. I did also. As far as I can tell, they work fine. I didn't have a problem with fit as some people have experienced.
If you're in doubt about the suitability of the adapter for your device, just Google or Bing your device and read the specs. If it uses a micro USB input source, this adapter is the one you want.

They work, but the phone doesn't indicate they work
My new Motorola cellphone has a USB-C port for charging and data exchange. It came with a charger and USB-C cable, but that gave me only one place to charge my phone. I got a 3-pack of these FanTEK adapters so that I could put one in each car and have another in a convenient charging point at home.First, these things are really small -- much smaller than I expected. They have a mini-USB female connector on one end and a male USB-C connector on the other end. For some reason, I expected these to be bigger, but they are tiny.All three of these FanTEK adapters work they way they should, with one small exception. They let me charge my phone using one of these adapters on the end of a mini-USB cable. That's a big help. And they let me plug into my computer so that I can download photos and upload music to my cellphone. The only catch is that the phone does not give me the little "lightning bolt" symbol to show that it is charging. It charges using these adapters, you just can't see an indication that it is charging. If I leave the phone plugged in using one of these adapters, it will go from 50-percent charge to 100-percent charge overnight -- about what I would expect for a slower charger. I just don't see a little lightning bolt to let me know that the phone is charging.So I like having these FanTEK adapters and I use them all the time. Just don't be surprised if you do not get a lightning bolt that indicates charging.
