I purchased this when another lock did not work in my door housing. I read the reviews and watched the videos to make sure this is what I wanted. Turns out, this was a good purchase. The lock is quality, and the install was easy, and it saves my wife from rummaging around for a key in her purse. (And grumbling at me to install a automatic lock...)
Answers to questions you may have -
Yes, the app works well. (It's not holy cow wow...but it works for what is needed.)
Yes, the touch pad lights up when activated. (Very nice for evening returns.)
Yes, the batteries last quite a long time. (Have yet to run out of juice)
Yes, the install was easy. (Just be a little tech savvy and you should have no issue)
Yes, it works with IOS Home. Just enter the code and you're off and running. (Siri now locks and unlocks our door without any issue.)
However... you must make sure your strike plate whole is large enough and on center for this lock to work correctly!! Meaning, if your door does not shut normally without having to slam, push, or lift, you will have to fix that issue BEFORE installing this lock. Thankfully, our door closes easily in winter and in summer months. I did have to make the whole a little larger, but no issue since. If you door is off kilter even a little, or is effected by climate, you need to reconsider or fix the door issues ahead of time.
Hope his helps.
I finally call the rep helps me trouble shoot and it is determined my module is the issue, the little orange thing that communicates to my network. This took about 30 minutes to determine. So he tells me with near 100% certainty my hunch was correct. He sends me an email requesting personal and product information like serial number and says they will send out a replacement. It should he here in 7-10 days once I fill it out. He also asks me to respond to a bunch of other questions so it can help determine why it may have crapped out. I thought about putting it off until the next day because it was late and they needed me to dig up receipts and stuff but I figured I would suck it up and just do it before bed as this is my front door lock.
I wake up this morning to oh its no longer covered under warranty here is 30% off this module that is going to cost me almost $50 including shipping and the discount. I am not sure why they did not tell me all of that the night before. The only thing I could think of is they wanted my information to trouble shoot why their module crapped out. I feel like they know this is an ongoing issue and they should replace it for people. Instead Yale leads me on and lets me believe they will do me right for free. Instead they use me to get more data so they can fix the issue for future customers.

Master Pin Code + engrane
7 + engrane
1 + engrane
