- Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2023Size: 11.6 QuartsColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchaseAfter suffering for years with four different undersized soup and steamer pots, I decided to get a properly sized stockpot/steamer set. I chose this one and it is wonderful. It's the correct diameter for my burner. It isn't paper thin stainless steel and it isn't overly heavy either. It gives me the size and features I want all in one set and I like it so much I have (gleefully) discarded all four of the older pots. I'm glad I bought this. Definitely worth five stars to me even in light of the warning below.
The warning is this. I noticed before I bought it that this set had a button style handle on the lid instead of a loop style handle. Unfortunately the button has a stylishly low profile design (that is, beautiful to look at but hard to grip) making it fussy to pick up the lid with or without a pot holder. I solved the problem by buying a separate replacement, loop style, lid handle and getting rid of the button altogether. If you have large hands or difficulty gripping things, you may want to replace the button or just pass this set by for one with all loop handles.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2016Size: 11.6 QuartsColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchaseWe have a large family. The standard sized stock pots that come in the pot and pan sets, just weren't cutting it for us anymore.
I purchased this at Christmas time. ( As a gift to myself from my Mother)
It is wonderful!
It cooks evenly, hold so much and cleans up to shiny and new after each wash.
So far I have cooked 2 lbs of pasta at once. (I think I read that it could cook 3lbs, but we are not up to needing that much at one time yet) It cooked great with no nasty noodle clumps because of over crowding. Also no more trying to pour out all of that boiling hot water into a colander. Just lift the pasta cooker out and you have perfectly cooked pasta.
We are also a family that loves soup! This can hold a double or even triple batch of almost any soup we can throw at it. The bottom of the pot is very sturdy (Thick, heavy, good quality) and I have never had a single item burn.
The glass lid is nice, I can keep an eye on whatever is cooking (or check to see if my water is boiling) without letting the heat out by lifting the lid.
For our large family...this is an ALL AROUND GREAT PRODUCT!
I plan to use it for many years to come!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2012Size: 8 QuartsColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchaseAfter reading the reviews, some of which were negative, I decided to purchase this set anyway. I admit that I had low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality at the price point.
This is not going to compete with the professional, high-end cookware also available, but for simple steaming and cooking pasta this set is not only hard to beat for the price, but a wise choice considering that many of the higher-end pots and steamer sets would be overkill if all you want is to do light duty food preparation. Granted, if I were using this every day or even 3-4 times a week I probably would have spent twice as much for a more professional set.
I did not experience issues reported by other reviewers, such as residue, discoloration, etc. I've used this set at least ten times since I purchased it (about 3 times every two weeks), and have had zero problems or issues. I also machine wash it with no adverse effects.
If you do occasional steaming or preparing pasta this is a bargain that will give you a lot of bang for your buck. If you plan to use this on a daily basis - or more than four times a week - you may want to consider a higher-end set.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2015Size: 11.6 QuartsColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchasePros: good price, thick bottom, riveted handles
Cons: thin metal walls
The metal on the walls isn't as thin on this as the reviews had led me to believe. It *is* thin metal, and will dent if you bang it on a counter edge, but this is purely cosmetic. It *does* have a good thick bottom. In fact, I just made a batch of tomato sauce, in which I cooked it down for about 9 hours. No scorching at all.
The steam baskets are necessity when it comes to blanching veggies from the garden destined for the freezer. No more picking things out of boiling water with tongs!
The glass lid is pretty, but it is the weak point of this set. My previous stock pot glass lid lasted for 10+ years until I once set it down on a range burner that was on and I didn't know it. It shattered under the high heat. The glass lids are more durable than they look, and this one looks no different. But they are not made for high heat.
For the price, this a good deal. Sure, I could spend 2-3x the money for a higher quality one, but this one will work just as well for nearly as long.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2013Size: 8 QuartsColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchaseI really like this pot! I don't cook pasta that often, but I have tried it a few times and it works great. The only thing when using it for pasta is that you end up using really a lot of water, too much water in my opinion, which is ultimately non-ecological and unnecessary. But I guess this is not the problem of this particular pot but all that use this system. On the other hand, I use the steamer a lot, almost on daily basis because I eat a lot of vegetables. It works really great, it's the perfect size (not too big not too small) and it's very light and practical the handle - the whole set is. It's good quality, I've been using it a lot and it still looks like new. I have never had more expensive options, but it seems to me that even compared to higher-budget options, this set stands pretty well.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2014Size: 8 QuartsColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchaseI received this yesterday and used it last night. I love this pasta set. Just the right size for one person or a small family. I really wanted a 4 quart size, but after using this one, I'm glad I bought the 8 quart. Pasta did not stick to the pan at all like it does in a regular pot. It doesn't boil over due to the nice vent in the lid. Only complaint, they say it has "Stay Cool Handles and Knobs" Not so...the handles get very hot!! I'll probably come back after using it longer to comment on how it is holding up. The weight seems heavy enough to be of pretty good quality stainless. Not compared to my Calphalon pans, but not close to the price either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buena calidad

5.0 out of 5 stars Best multi purpose pot ever!
Size: 8 QuartsColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchaseBuy this pot and you will never need another. Don't stop at cooking spaghetti, it is also the right size for soups, stews and chili! Making stock is easy with the strainer insert for the bones, getting even the small ones out is simple. No more worries about the little bones being left in the pot. Best buy also, so many are higher priced and don't have the heavy bottom for even heating. Love this pot!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality Product
Size: 11.6 QuartsColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchaseGot it yesterday and the pot is very well made.
It works amazing with my induction cook top - I put the water to almost max to wash it out and boiled a full pot. With my 1800 watt induction cook top, it came to a strong boil within 9 minutes! Amazing.
I had a lot of people over for dinner last night and made 1.8 kg of pasta and it cooked it all without issue! I love the built-in colander! It is SO useful... would be nice if the handles had protection or were heat resistant somehow, but most pots don't have that either so it isn't a big deal - I just used silicon mitts and had no issues.
I love this pot so much I am buying another so I can do large batches of potatoes when I need to make mash...
Looks like it is good quality so it should last with proper care... I guess time will tell ;-)
