Fraying Inside Socks - Thin Material - Heavy Toe Seam

I wore one pair and right away I noted they felt thinner than what I am used to. At the end of the day, the tip of my big left toe felt like it had a splinter sticking into the tip of it. I went crazy looking for a thorn or splinter and there was none. I turned the sock inside out and found the seam was pretty heavy, but there was nothing obvious that would cause a poking sensation. I never wore another pair from this package and that sensation never came back. It was the first time I ever felt that. Coincidence? Maybe.

I am giving it 3 stars because imo they are average at best. These images and video show fraying, and loose threads at the cuff found only when turned inside out of NEVER WORN socks. They were all like this. Not the quality I am used to in Diabetic socks.

I wear a size 14 shoe and in my excitement at finding a sock claiming to fit me I forgot that these socks are meant to be custom socks where size and fit are everything and set my common sense aside as I expected a sock size claiming to fit mens shoe sizes 9 to 14 would ever fit the two ends of that scale without bunching at the low end and failing to catch the heal on the high end. these socks bind twice on the ankle. once where the heal point doesn't reach the heal and once where the top of the sock crosses low on the ankle. in addition the top itself would bind even if the heal to toe measurement was correct because it has a fold over top with a circular stitch rather than a plain top with a vertical lock stitch top as most nonbinding socks have. these socks should be sized by 2 shoe sizes or at the most three. and then tested by real men in each size with real swelling. ****as an addition to my original review upon seeing that 25% of the verified users, gave three stars or less to this item of which the overwhelming majority were sizing issues. I don't understand why Amazon would let this vendor continue to sell this item as a diabetic sock that fits everyone until they revise their sizing. im still trying to get the indentations out of my ankles

First of all, I love these socks. It's why I keep ordering them. They're soft and comfortable, even after they've reached the point where they need to be replaced.
However, Amazon keeps changing it up to where they believe I should wear a smaller sock based on my sizes. I'm older and tend to forget they do this, so I keep winding up with socks that may fit according to my shoe size, but they are too short to be comfortable for me to wear around the house or while in bed. If you wear, or want, a larger size then make certain before you hit that buy button that Amazon's automatic whimsy hasn't gone and given you something else. I mean, you can always return them, but if you have a super helpful spouse like mine who can't take a moment to let you verify the shipment before dumping it all in the wash, you'll wind up donating a lot of brand new freshly washed socks to the homeless shelter like I do.

The Best Loose Fit Top Diabetic Socks I Have Found

I have been wearing diabetic loose fit top socks for years. I am not diabetic but I like the loose fit and not have them bind and leave marks in my legs. Also at 73 I have an injured left arm and getting some socks on is difficult. I was in need of new ankle socks so I purchased four other brands before I found the Debra Weitzner brand. The others were poor in quality and difficult to pull on. One brand was too small and tight and two brands left marks on my ankles. I decided to give the DW socks a try. Bingo, they were perfect. Great quality, very comfy in the toe and foot area. There were super easy to put on get aligned correcting into the heal cup. They are a generous size for my size 13 feet and I'm sure would fit a size or two larger and they do no bind and leave marks in my legs. I am very pleased with these.
