This is the perfect tool for me for getting critical focus, exposing VLOG (I own a Panasonic GH5) and the 1,500 Nits are just a must in daylight viewing!

I'm torn from rating this either 4 or 5 stars.

The updates from the Ninja Assassin to the Ninja Inferno are awesome. I love how much brighter this monitor is. I love that it has hot swappable batteries. I love the options to do 4k 60p. Still has the amazing tools like false color, 3D luts and focus peaking. Also I like the all black look with the bumpers on the sides for protection. I'm not sure how much protection it would really do if I dropped it but it's better than nothing and it definitely LOOKS better than the big red rubber case for the Ninja Assassin. I'm definitely happy with the new monitor right out of the box.

BUT -- After using it on the field, I was disappointed to find out that my Atomos power station doesn't work well paired with it. I've never had a problem with powering my GH4/ GH5/ Atomos Ninja Assassin/ wireless follow focus. But now I'm restricted to only using the how swappable batteries on the monitor. Which is fine. It's just a slight annoyance.

THEN -- I noticed that the top battery slot is EXTREMELY difficult to slip batteries in or out. Maybe a manufacturing defect? Is this just mine that has this problem? I have no idea. Another annoyance.

A few more annoyances, the threading on the top and bottom of the monitor is different from the Ninja Assassin. I've never had a problem with the Assassin but on the inferno, half of my attachments/adapters/magic-arms have a difficult time screwing into the 1/4 20. Which is weird since all 1/4 20s should be the same.

Lastly I don't like how much bigger the monitor is. I loved the size of my Assassin. I just it was the same size.

Overall, I love the monitor. It's everything I need. It just has a bunch of little things that are pretty minor problems but it definitely adds up.

A bit on a the heavy side, and battery life is not very good, but other than that it works great. Just make sure you have a high quality-high speed SSD (I reccomend Samsung 850 evo) and a TRUE high speed HDMI cable that can handle 4k 60p, othetwise your going to be dropping frames like crazy...
