This metabones speedbooster XL0.64x is amazing!
It allows me to expand the usage of my Canon wide angle zoom lenses paired with my M43 GX8 camera.
Such as 11-24mm f4L, 16-35mm f2.8L II, thanks for the equivalent magnification factor 1.28 (2*0.64) with this adapter.
And it significantly increases my lens aperture by 1 2/3 faster.
My 11-24mm f4 becomes 14-31mm/f2.8 and 16-35mm becomes 20-45mm/f1.8 equivalent to 35mm full frame lens!!
The only cons is when I paired my Canon 11-24mm F4 with M43 GX8, it is hard to get auto focused at 11mm.
Other than that, I am very satisfactory with my purchase.
But it does not work with my Olympus E-M1 Mark II !

Worth the price. I have about 6 adapters, ranging from $20, to $150, to this Metabones for around $650 when I bought it. This is the best adapter by far. 64x focal reduction is fantastic when working with M4/3, like the Lumix GH4. The adapter itself has the most solid build construction out of the others I have (Fotasy, Fotodiox, I think, some weird Chinese ones...)

These things are pricey, but they are like little lens computers...

The adapter does everything it says it does, looks sharp and lets in more light. Few problems though, it doesn't work with EVERY Canon lens it seems. Go to their website and make sure your lenses are on their compatibility list, I figured since I had a Canon lens (18-200mm f3.5-5.6) it would automatically work right? It's a Canon lens and the adapter is Canon EF to MFT. Wrong. Granted this specific lens was not on their tested list on their website but it just seems a bit ridiculous to me that a Canon lens doesn't work. But my other lens (Canon 50mm 1.8) works great even though the autofocus doesn't work but again they said that on their website that that would happen with this lens and it was never very good to begin with so I'm okay with it.

Also the tripod mount screws are on there SO TIGHT that I stripped one of the screws just trying to get it off. Now I have to figure out how to get it off.

Amazing! Over one stop improvement on my sigma 150-600. I can shoot with my 1.4 extender on the 70-200 f2.8 at 2.8?!?!?! I believe that's 2 stops. Unbelievable product, yes it's expensive. But you have to pay for this kind of magic;-) I am not really sure how it does what it does, but it's pretty darn cool.

I have just one very minor thing to point out. It is just a little loose on my GH4. I am not sure why, but I would think a product like this should fit snug, with no play at all, like the lenses.

For large or heavy lenses there may be a problem with the connection with the camera. This has been remedied with the later Cine editions. Overall it is a very nice piece of equipment if you have existing Canon lenses but for the price it would be better to invest in native m43 lenses.

Incredible technology, but with numerous drawbacks to the extra stop of light and focal reduction.

When I shoot with lenses like my Rokinon 85mm T/1.5 @T/1.5, the aperture drops below f/0.95 which causes the bokeh to oversoften and creates a rectangle with the reflection of the sensor in the centers of each single bokeh ball.

Other than that it is phonomenal... Stepping up a half stop fixes all with light to spare.

Ich filme seit 5 Jahren und bin bei unterschiedlichen Kameras und Systemen hängen geblieben. Zuletzt filmte ich mit der a7s II. Da ich mal die GH-5 ausprobieren wollte habe ich diese eben gekauft und dazu diesen Adapter. Meine Objektive haben optimal gepasst und sogar der Autofokus ging- das wirklich sehr gut!

Die Berechnung nochmal für alle zur Hilfe:

Ein 50mm Full Frame Objektiv wird durch den MFT Crop Factor von x2 zu einem 100 mm umgewandelt. Dieses Resultat wird dann mit dem Crop Factor des Speed Boosters mit 0,64 multipliziert.

ALSO: 50mm * 2 * 0,64 = 64 mm

Alles in allem: Top Gerätschaft, funktioniert wie es soll.

Very good product it does spice up your GH4. I researched before buying this and people always complicate things, this is a simpler way of understanding the difference between the ultra version and XL version. The GH4 XL 0.64 version works on Full Frame Lenses and on APS-C lenses WITH EF MOUNTS, if you use say a 10mm APS-C lenses WITH an EF MOUNT for PHOTOS or HD filming there will a bit of vignetting but if you zoom in a couple of mm or use a 14mm wide angle lens the vignetting goes, on 4K there is no vignetting whats so all. On the other hand it is perfect with full frame lenses. Good Product best thing to do is to try it out for yourself and see whats best for you. OH and don't bother waiting for the GH5 thinking you will not need this product, that's what i did, the GH5 will still have a crop factor.
