Anyone who knows me could tell you, I am a friendly kind of person, never met a stranger and take up conversations anywhere at any time. I work hard, and my mind never seems to shut down, as I wake up often in the middle of the night with ideas pouring out and demanding to be dealt with. Of course that means much of my books were written in the middle of the night. I grew up and still live in the great state of Texas where everything is bigger, where we have warm weather and a central location. I love my state, my town, and my family, which includes my four sons, my significant other, and many friends as well. I have thoroughly enjoyed writing this story and hope that you will love reading it just as much. And of course, there will be many more adventures to come.

I did not like the way the story started. It was too depressing for everyone. Then they started to turn the story around and everyone was working together and they all lived happily ever after.

This is the second book in this series and they need to be read in order. These books are a sweet guilty pleasure read. Gary and Candy are back again. This book starts about a year after the last one ends. Gary and Candy have been getting to know each other over the past year. They are still living together along with Candy’s son and mom. They are ready to take the next step in their relationship and get married. However, Gary’s mom, Eve may have something to say about that. She has never thought any of the women Gary dated were good enough for him. Candy is no different. Will Gary let his mother change his mind about Candy. Eve isn’t the only difficult person Candy will deal with this holiday season. I loved getting to read about this cast of characters again. This book wasn’t that long. I like these books and look forward to reading the next one.

Over all a good short story. It was obvious that there was more to the story before this one took place. The segue was fairly smooth and the main points were covered. Because of this I let go some of my concerns regarding the character development which I considered lacking. It also meant there seemed to be more 'narration' than I prefer.

The narration was good I liked the various voices and inflections and pacing were in keeping with the story.

I felt a stiltness to the story whether this is a result of the way it was written. Trying to get a lot of information un a short amount of time or from the narration. This was annoying at times.

Christmas Eve: Sweet Christmas Book Two was a good read by Samantha Jacobey. Candice and Gerald are getting ready to get married. One person trying to stand in their way is Gerald's rich and powerful mom. When someone from Candice's past threatens to hurt them, Gerald's mom will either save them or bring their relationship to an end. I enjoyed reading Candice and Gerald's story and can't wait to read more in this series.
