Reviews
"Sara cooks the food that I want to eat every day. In Around Our Table she writes beautifully about feeding her family and includes practical tips and a game plan that makes these bright, veggie-packed recipes feel doable, even for the busiest people."--Yossy Arefi, author of Snacking Bakes and Snacking Cakes
"I have been lucky to taste many of the recipes in this book and I can assure you it is full of honest, nourishing, and delicious food. A go-to book for every cook."--Aran Goyoaga, creator of Cannelle et Vanille and 3-time James Beard Finalist
"Real food for real life! Around Our Table is a book I'll be gifting all the hard-working, busy parents in my life. Filled with colorful and flavor-packed meals, the recipes are practical and adaptable, emphasizing all the ways anchoring your cooking in real, whole foods is achievable."--Heidi Swanson, author, Super Natural Cooking
"As a busy parent myself, this book is a breath of fresh air. It solves the never-ending question: How do I get a nourishing meal on the table night after night?! I love Sara's realistic approach to cooking, which is fast and efficient enough for harried weeknights, along with other recipes that require a bit more time for those slow weekend days. But above all, these recipes aim to please the palates of selective young eaters, while still keeping the grown-ups very happy and well fed indeed."--Sarah Britton, holistic nutritionist and author of My New Roots
"I love that Sara can distill a recipe down to its essentials and shortcuts, but still make it so very special. People remember how you make them feel, and this is especially true with cooking and entertaining. With this collection of recipes, I know that guests around Sara's table (and users of this book!) will feel excited, nourished, and cared for."--Laura Wright, author of The First Mess Cookbook
"While not strictly vegetarian, the book is produce-forward: [Sarah's] lentil and quinoa salad brings in arugula, feta, and peaches; she sets a butternut squash steak over quinoa and tops with a crunchy, spicy apple relish. In addition to make-ahead tips, she includes useful signposts to help if you need to prep dinner in little windows throughout the day."--Maggie Hoffman, Epicurious,
