Just came back from a multi-week overseas vacation. This tripod was purchased primarily for this trip. It is small and light, so I carried it almost everywhere I went; something I would not do with my regular carbon fiber tripod. I ended up using it more often than I planned and it was more stable than I thought possible. Attached is a night scene taken with this tripod. Exposure time was 10 seconds. The weight of the camera/lens combo is about 1.5 kgs. I would not have been able to take this high quality picture without a stable tripod, and this tripod is stable enough for this shot.

This is my third and smallest tripod, but I need it for an upcoming trip because luggage space is a premium. My other two tripods are much larger Manfrotto aluminum and Induro CF tripods. I don't plan on using tripod a lot for this trip but do want to have access to one for the just in case situations. Since it will not see a lot of action under normal condition, I don't want to spend much at all. Most of the tripods I considered are the $150 range, this one came in at a such a low price, I decided to give it a try.
As the price clearly suggests, there are compromises. For me, the most important attributes are size, weight and stability. I can say for sure that this tripod meets the size and weight criteria. It is still too early to declare on stability, but it seems to be stable enough for my intended use based on very limited time. The camera was a 500 g dslr with a 17-50 f/2.8 zoom. I tested at shutter speeds range from 1/2 second to 1/150 second. With mirror up, I did not detect any indication of instability. I did not fully extend the tripod either and there was no wind.
The compact size also means clumsy to open and close the tripod. It took far longer to open and setup than my two other tripods. I think I can get used to it eventually. The ball head is a mixed bag. It is quite smooth in operation. The mounting plate is non-standard. Even when fully open, I cold not get my normal Acra Swiss plate to mount. The only way to do it was to remove the safety pin as someone else already suggested. Not a deal breaker but still a pain. This the main reason for taking one star off.

Came back from a multi-week overseas trip. Used this tripod more than I thought before the trip. I can only say that it has exceeded my expectation. Stability wise, I have no complaint. The camera/lens combo I used come in just over 1.5 kgs, not too heavy and not too light. Exposure time varied from 1/100 to 12 seconds. I could not detect any trace of motion in any of the images. I also want to mention that, more than a few times, I used the tripod fully extended and with a light breeze. The size and the weight mean that I carry it everywhere with no concern.
Not sure if it would still be stable with higher weight loading, but with the above mentioned combo, it is an ideal travel tripod. Highly recommended.

But... Will you sacrifice something important apart from styllish look? Read the report.
With weight just slightly above 1 kg (1089 g - what I got) and folded size just 31.5 cm, this one is really great TRAVEL tripod. When extended, it's sturdy and height is just right - at level where you can handle your camera pretty much comfortable.
All mechanical parts well machined, easy to fold and extend, without need to apply any extra force. Ball head lock knobs work very well.
Additional benefits:
- Arca Swiss compatible quick release
- both 3/8" and 1/4" head mounting screws
Most important: there are no any brand logos, so you are will not be an unpaid 'brand promoter'.
I love my big solid heavy tripod great in high winds locks down tight but takes up half your weight allowance when flying budget airlines,
Thought l would give this little beauty a try not expecting much for the price but knowing that if not happy l could return it to those nice people at Amazon ( as l have done with a couple of tripods in the past) This one I am keeping its well made, light weight but sturdy and locks down nice and tight. Feel quite happy putting my 5d mkiii and a small zoom lens on this not sure how stable or secure it will be with both centre columns fully extended height of 52 inches but as with any tripod l always position one of the legs of the tripod in line with the lens of the camera for stability, the supplied ball head is nicely made and makes using it a pleasure, the only downside of this tripod is that the jaws of the supplied arca swift top plate do not open wide enough to accommodate my L bracket which is a shame as I don't like hanging my camera off to one side of my tripod seen this positioning topple other people's tripods several times in the past an L bracket avoids this possible scenario I tried another top plate (Different make) purchased via Amazon to try resolve this issue but this did not seat properly or securely,.
In a nut shell if you want a light weight, sturdy, secure travel or general use tripod that goes to a reasonable height without breaking the bank go for this one you can spend 2 to 4 times more for the big brand names that I'm sure are made in the same factory somewhere and have their brand logo and a few adonised bits of trim added to tart them up ? All I want from a travel tripod is Stability, compactness and sturdiness this little tripod gives me in spades and all at an amazing price what's not to like
